Luxury television brand, Vu Technologies is pleased to announce the launch

introduce the Opulence in a limited edition and custom made and will be made available at their stores

The store in essence offers basic, limited edition products that enjoy eternal style. The rustic, earthy, mediums that connect with nature, are put together in unusual chic with classic appeal. Beautiful crockery, coasters, recycled paper attractive renditions, Tara Devi statues, exotic candle stands, furniture masterpieces, Sri Lankan tribalware easily inducted by the capital's sophisticate and more, present a beautiful array of home décor options, sourced from all over the world, working in the handicraft industry especially soft furnishings. Says Monica Khanna, the leading lady of the store, “My love for beautiful things inspired me to set up ‘The Delhi Design Store’ I would be quite happy just being a collector, but chose to go with the next best option - to have a store, where I derive pleasure out of providing people with beautiful things from all over the world, under one roof. And I intend to keep the merchandise profile new and surprising in the home, flooring and personal care segments. The Delhi Design Store frequenter will always stand spoilt for choice…”

Its quaint, pristine white facade, casts a spell of piqued curiosity on passers by Custom made natural hard wood flooring, compliments cement and red wooden floor options. Rustic plastered walls finished in pure white, windows with old styled grills, and red stone roofs with wood and metal beams present an ambience of pleasant ‘fusion’ with understated clean pure lines that stand accentuated, basis quality. Says Monica Khanna “Simplicity and quality put together always works. Colour tones of the earth—beige, cream and green merge beautifully with a bit of bold red or purple to break the monotony. Just a couple of key dramatic elements in a room make a style statement… too much activity in design is not very appealing”.

Spread over two levels over 1600 square feet, each room presents a varied and charming range of aesthetes in wall textures, pallet, architectural innovations or the creation of spaces within spaces. And yes, the assumption is true, Monica Khanna puts to good use her innate expertise and commendable experience with prestigious projects such as the interiors of Palace on Wheels (Rajasthan) and the Royal Orient of Gujarat, which make her the only designer in the country to design two luxury trains. The former, Monica believes was her learning ground and the latter, a culmination of her technical expertise and administrative adroitness. The palace on wheels went on to receive the third best train on wheels award internationally and Maharaj Gaj Singh paid his personal compliments to the interior architect of the phenomenal experience. She is Consultant to various luxury hotels and resorts farm houses, houses for expats and celebrities. Monica thrives on challenging projects, one of her favourites being the deep jungles of Kanha, where she spent months setting up a resort for a reputed chain of hotels. She was the only woman on site controlling a work force of three hundred men in a site full of cobras, kraits, scorpions and even a python. Extreme climate and tough deadlines piqued the challenge.

A conscious environment designer, Monica has passion for water harvesting, solar energy, water recycling, water irrigation, green houses, wallpinis etc, offering Consultancy on space décor. She believes a successful space consultant has to possess a 360 deg knowledge of all related areas, in order to be able to deliver a masterpiece.
