20% of prostate cancer patients face the prospect of aggressive, recurring and often lethal disease. We're proud to announce, thanks to the Mo community, our donation of $5.3 million to fund the 2016 ‪#‎Movember‬ Foundation - Prostate Cancer Foundation Challenge Awards. Any one of these five innovative projects could be the next big breakthrough: http://bit.ly/2aZNZtJ

We've put $3 million towards an innovative clinical trial to find out if MRI could be the new gold standard for prostate cancer diagnosis. This could help spare some men from undergoing a biopsy and avoid the possible associated side effects. The trial will be led by Dr. Laurence Klotz of the Sunnybrook Research Institute in Toronto, a world leader in the field of prostate cancer research and will be in partnership with Ontario Institute for Cancer Research and Prostate Cancer Canada. https://ca.movember.com/news/11268/finding-the-gold-standard-for-prostate-cancer-diagnosis

Touch yourself Tuesday: Finish Testicular Cancer Awareness Month with a good feel. Just remember the proper place to #KnowThyNuts. Don't do it when you are with mates. Don't do it while driving. Save it for the shower. http://bit.ly/KnowThyNuts

The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride started in 2012 in Australia with over 2,500 smartly dressed men riding the saddles of their classic and vintage styled motorcycles. This year, the #DGR is raising awareness and funds for the #Movember Foundation. We hope to see a lot of our Mo Bros and Mo Sistas participate in this magnificent global event on September 25th. Today, during Men’s Health Week, we’re launching the world’s largest national prostate cancer registry across Australia and New Zealand. It will equip doctors with the information they need to redefine what successful treatment of the disease looks like. It’s a game changer and it’s been made possible through your donations. http://bit.ly/PCOR-ANZ

We surveyed over 3,000 men at the start of #TesticularCancerAwarenessMonth and found that 7 out of 10 men have never or rarely performed testicular self-examination. Make sure you get to know your nuts - it just may save your life. #KnowThyNuts http://bit.ly/KnowThyNuts

"I lost both my balls to cancer but that didn't make me less of a man or stop me from becoming a father. Thanks to checking myself and taking action early, I was able to beat testicular cancer twice and can look forward to watching my daughter grow up. The earlier you get to know your nuts, the better off you'll be." - Mo Bro Ben Bowers, Testicular Cancer Survivor #KnowThyNuts http://bit.ly/BensNuts

Changing the Face of Men’s Health
Introduction

The Movember Foundation is the leading global organization committed to changing the face of men’s health

The Movember community has raised over $550 million to date and funded over 800 programs in 21 countries.  This work is saving and improving the lives of men affected by prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health problems.

The Movember Foundation challenges men to grow moustaches during Movember (formerly known as November), to spark conversation and raise vital funds for its men’s health programs. To date, 4 million moustaches have been grown worldwide, but we won't stop growing as long as serious men’s health issues exist.
