This park is nice, but really it's a combination of what I would say are state parks, historic sites and preserves. So in my view, this does not meet the National Park standards. Sorry Ohio, this should not be a National Park. I've seen 31 national parks to date, and like I said, this one is a nice park, great if you live near hear as it's very easy to get to. But it's really just a collection historic sites and some mediocre hiking trials. It did seem to have a nice biking system though. So for for people who live in the area, it is a great park. If I live here, I'd be in this park all the time just for a nature fix and some alone time. Granted I only spent a day in this park, but in many of the 31 NP's I've visited, I only spent a day there as well. Only the great ones did I spend more time in.

We hiked over 40 miles in the park, including the Buckeye, Valley, Towpath, and several of the smaller loop trails. We also did some biking. All trails were well marked and maintained. They provided great printed maps, and the Rangers and workers at the "Trailmix" stores were knowledgeable about the park and helpful. Beautiful scenery, especially on the Ledges trail! We loved the historic buildings throughout the park. We only wished they had camping in the park so we didn't have to stay 10 miles away in a KOA.

I'm such a sucker for the outdoors and love going to parks. Cuyahoga Valley National Park is no exception. The moment you pull up you will definitely get such a positive feeling. Once you head in, you will be immersed in nature. From the gorgeous trees to the incredible landscape. This place is great for anyone - if you want to hike or just take a stroll through, it's very rewarding. You can take one of the assigned paths or make your own. It's up to you. I feel so humble that I can go to a park especially in such a metropolis market.

I went up there for a concert once at the blossom music center and it was amazing going to the heart of a forest for a all day music festival.
