We'll be taking a break from webinars between now and early September as we enter into the summer conference and travel season. Updates will still be sent out to the eLSIG list serv as new information, resources, and announcements come our way. We will also be sending out a poll to the SIG members to find out which day/time works best for the majority of our members.

Have a great summer-

Leading Edge Certification for Online Teachers

Are you interested in teaching online, but unsure where to start, or are you already teaching online and want to enhance your skills? Are you a school or district looking to provide professional development for your teachers, but don't know where to begin? The Leading Edge Alliance, a partnership formed of nonprofits, universities and regional educational service agencies has developed a certification program for K-12 teachers. The certification is a national program to prepare instructional leaders for online learning. Content includes building community, moderating discussions, supporting diverse learners, and implementing frequent formative assessments. Time to complete the curriculum is estimated at six to eight weeks, including portfolio work, but will vary based on participants’ experience with the tools used. For more details visit: leadingedgecertification.org.

A cohort will be kicking off at #cue2012 on Thursday, March 15. For more information and to register, please visit http://cue.org/conference/seminars
