Since 1991, the main road at the heart of Hargeisa City is being reconstructed in an effort to celebrate for the national day, May 18th 2013. The reconstruction work at least offers Hargeisa's residents a glimpse of hope: for its flows and shortcomings, Silanyo's government can reasonably be thanked for what it has done so far. More will come, Insha Allah.

A great start, Hamse. And many thanks for sharing this article with the friends. For me, range land enclosures, charcoal production, and soil erosion due to flood gullies may be more urgent than some points highlighted in this article, if Somaliland has to achieve sustainable development. We are still a pastoral society.
