Found this recipe by Scott Rea for pan fried Cod fillets. No skin just a nice light dusting of flour and an egg wash. These were mine cooking a couple of hours ago. Delicious!

Not the most in depth article on digital back to film photography but it does get the conversation going. Check the comments.

I just started using my old Spotmatic SP a week ago. One roll of film is done and another has about three or four more frames in it. Its been a real learning experience for me having never used a film SLR before. I'm sure I've missed focus on some of my photos but hey, that's part of the learning process.
The Pentax Spotmatic SP.  In my eyes it is probably the most regarded and versatile 35mm SLR I have ever used.  Sure, there are other cameras that have interchangeable viewers and screens, but they were designed more as a pro...

I'm giving film a whirl.
Kodak's Chapter 11 filing in 2012 was believed to spell the death of film photography. Only a few manufacturers now make film and much less of it, but celluloid appears to be making a comeback. The FT's Steve Ager investigates the resurgent interest in analogue

Tried it and my fillets came out beautifully. I made 3 mistakes though. First I used an extra large egg (it's what I had) so I did taste egg. Second I didn't put enough salt in the flour, and third I used non-salted butter so I had to add salt at the end. I don't like to add salt at the end of cooking typically.

Interesting interview with Mr. Saiki of Ricoh on current and future Pentax products, their development, and why Ricoh produced medium format 645D/Z before a full frame camera. Smart these fellows be!

If I were to get a full frame DSLR, this would be it. Battery grip included.

Maybe with the D-BG6 Battery Grip?

I don't think Yvon knows for sure but if you count down through the Pentax models the most recent models (K-7, K-5, K-3) K-1 would be the logical choice.

I have theTaurus PT809 which was based off of the PT 24/7 OSS. It looks similar only it has a hammer, not striker fired. Have had it for years now and have had no issues with it. It's my home defense gun. Very reliable and can be had for around $350. It is a budget firearm. Not everyone can afford a $600-$1000 Glock or 1911. I like mine. Feels good in the hand, is accurate and reliable.
