I have one. Mine is a silver bodied Asahi Pentax model. I got it when I was adding Super-Takumar lenses for use with my Pentax DSLR's. I got it CLA'ed by Eric and now it's in top condition. I put a roll of Ilford HP5 Plus through it and it worked just fine. Now I need to work on my photographic skills.

Thanks for posting all these informative reviews. I just purchased a functioning Spotmatic. Believe it needs to be CLA'd but no one in my area does so. Researching has continously brought up the name Eric H. General consensus online seems to say he's the guy who knows Spotmatics. Would love to hear peoples' experiences before shipping my camera off.

Thank you for the explanation of B&W photography. I'm just now trying my hand at B&W film photography and I need some direction on the process of what makes a good scene. This video helps.

Nice job. Thanks for the video, it gives the basics. In the Pentax ME Super manual it says when loading film you should put the camera in 125x mode. Do you know why that is?

Excellent review of a truly fine camera. Your camera appears to be in like new condition. Has it seen much use? I'm considering starting a multiple make film camera collection and I think an FE2 will be a great Nikon representative.

Moved up a notch I see. Looked at a few FM3A's on ebay. They are quite a bit more pricey then the FE2. Nice camera though.

A pretty good review of the Pentax 645Z. I like to follow along with the exploits of this camera. I'll never own one but I find it interesting to see how those who do own one (or just have a chance to use one) feel about its usability.  You can get a medium format system for a few thousand dollars over top of the line full frame DSLR systems. Something to consider I would think.
The first truly ‘affordable’ digital medium format in recent times, the Pentax 645Z has features not seen before in its genre. Does it have what it takes in today’s varied digital climate? K Madhavan Pillai finds out.

Wonder why The Phoblographer thinks this is an MX when it clearly says ME on it.
The reportedly upcoming Pentax Full Frame Camera will have the same sensor as the Sony A7r.

I'm not sure I understand what a Desert Eagle .50 cal is for. Hunting? Self defense? Target shooting? War? War seems the most likely. If you're trying to stop a soldier with full top quality body armor I guess this would do the job.

Probably not speed and density beat body armor not mass. Generally you need in excess of higher 1400fps and or a bullet which resists deformation. Also quite doable with enough speed, at 2000fps even hollowpoint ammo will zip right through Level 3 soft body armor.

Thank you for the fine review. I'm interested in getting one of these, or perhaps an AE-1 Program for my film camera collection. Such a beautiful piece of equipment.

I'm a bit of a Pentax fan myself when it comes to 35mm cameras (film & digital) but at some point I would consider medium format. Obviously Pentax has several MF cameras from which to choose but I was also thinking of the Mamiya 645 Pro TL. Price point is not that much different from Pentax. What do you think?

You have to try the 67, there's no logic when buying this beauty.
