As a lover of steak burritos and Mexican food I was excited to try out the restaurant and see what they had to offer. When looking at the menu the prices are very reasonable it seemed.....Now I understand Why. I went there with a friend we ordered at the same time. My friends food came out in about 5-7 minutes, 25 minutes later my steak burrito and corn in the cup was ready. To be honest it was not a steak burrito but a lettuce burrito with a tiny amount of steak which I later discovered. When eating the burrito there was an overwhelming taste and amount of lettuce to the point where I had to remove some of the lettuce from the burrito. That is when I discovered that there was a very very very small pieces of steak. By far the worst burrito I have ever had in my life. As much time as it took for the burrito to get prepared I was under the impression that the tortillas were being made from scratch or something..... My friend was finished eating by the time I just got my so called steak burrito which was just a tortilla filled viciously with an enormous amount of lettuce and tiny pieces of steak. If you can imagine biting into a burrito filled with just lettuce that would be the best way to describe the taste. This was my first time leaving a restaurant feeling like I got robbed. 10$ for a tortilla filled with lettuce and a tiny pieces of steak and corn in a cup. Sorry to say but I cannot support any business that robs its customers like that. I would give it NO STARS if it was possible. Whenever you have to go to another restaurant after eating a meal at a restaurant that's when you know you will never be back. Wish you all health, wealth, and peace of mind.

My mouth waters when I think of L'Patron. The place is always packed, which is validation to the greatness that is L'Patron. Their meats, perfectly marinated. I wish I could clone it and move it closer to the westside. I'm always impressed with their efficient service and order taking. I don't mind waiting in a line, as long as the line moves. And they get that done here. *Also, as an germaphobe, I LOVE that they have a sink where one can wash ones hands before going to town on goodness. Kuddos to you, L'Patron.

An authentic Mexican food spot that continues to serve delicious food consistently. Great selection of vegetarian options and everything is made to order. Their daily specials include a combination of veggie tacos, I tried their roasted eggplant taco which included marinated eggplant and some mushrooms. They use to server a special 'green sauce' which use to have a nice kick to it but they stopped, hopefully they will bring the 'green sauce' back.

Great fast Mexican food. Usually pretty busy so call in your order ahead of time if possible.

Delicious, inexpensive and authentic Mexican. The el pastor (pineapple pork) is incredibly tasty. Guy and I split a burrito and each got a taco, spent less than $15 and left satiated and very satisfied. I want to go back and order all the sides. Expect to wait in line for a bit (20 minutes or so) but - worth it.

Really great Mexican food! Fresh, & inexpensive! I love the gringo and the steak tacos! They have recently expanded and now have twice the seating area. Yes, it's still crowded but a lot nicer. You can also call ahead and order for pick up in order to save time! One of my favorites! #CityExperts @GoogleLocalCHI

I've been to quite a few taco places in Chicago, but this one and Big Star are the best bang for your buck. They're very speedy too. I usually get the tilapia or steak tacos. One thing to note is that they only take cash.
