Since I feel like G+ is kind of a bust RE: audience engagement and discoverability, I'm moving all of my game dev activity updates over to the new Whisky Neat Games tumblr.

It can be found at whiskyneatgames.tumblr.com. I've begun work on Thing 2, and you can follow along there if you want.

For those of you not in the Early Access community: Public Beta of Rocket Blocks will start on Friday evening (Pacific Time), so you'll be able to get it off the Google Play store without having to go to the trouble of joining a community and opting in.

New Rocket Blocks Alpha Build!

v0.1.6:
- Upgraded Main Menu to the Unity 4.6 GUI system. It's not complete (still using default button graphics, some scaling stuff I'm not totally happy with), but it is...fully functional.
- Fixed a bug with Refueler block instantiation. They will no longer be visible above the play area when playing in Portrait orientation, or randomly disappear after dropping.

If you want to join the Alpha you still can by joining the Whisky Neat Games Early Access Community:

Not sure if anyone still checks this, but the Whisky Neat Games Early Access community is here: https://plus.google.com/communities/114519532848436565195

It's set to Private, but you should be able to ask to join and I'll just approve you right off.

I've got to set up a few more things in the developer console to actually publish the Alpha to the Google Play Store, after which members of the community can opt in to it and download and play it.

No video devlog in a while, I know, and I still don't have one right now, but I do have some other news: I have completed integration of Google Ads into Rocket Blocks, and so I am about ready to roll out the closed(ish) Android Alpha.

I'm going to have to create a Whisky Neat Games G+ community to do that, and will have that done in the next few days and I'll post about it here and in the other usual places.

So if you've got an Android device and you want to play Rocket Blocks, stay tuned, as it will quite possibly be ready for your consumption by the end of this week!

Put in some work on what will be the title screen for Rocket Blocks.
Hey Blender peeps!

Been a while since I've posted anything. Mostly been concentrating on a game I'm making in Unity, but I figured this part of the process was relevant.

WIP, but this is going to be the title screen for the game. I think I need to darken the 'e' in 'Rocket' a bit, do some further tweaking of the materials for the BLOCKS letters, and composite in the Earth render as the background.
