We were seated very quickly. We originally was told it would be 15 minutes but it only took 5. Food was good and the portions were large. My wife had two margaritas and enjoyed them both. I had a schooner of the Shiner Bock. Liked the atmosphere. We were here after the Sunday morning rush. Everything moved right along. Our server did well. The musicians came around a few times. We did not take them up on the offer but I did hear them play and they were quite good.

who doesn't love some tinsel. . . but god. . . the food was abnormally awful tacos with unseasoned chewy pork, a quesadilla drenched in grease and filled with cheese product, and salsa that i think was made from ketchup. . . go somewhere else. . . anywhere else. . . well. . . maybe stop by for a beer to see the place, it's a great scene. . . but after you have that beer . . . go somewhere else.

Plastic Tourist Crap....if you are a middle aged suburban family that thinks that Mexicans dance around sombreros and scream aye aye aye (ok some do the last part) than this place is for you. So dad hike those pants up past your belly button and grab your fanny pack because your are going to need them to fit in here.... It is Overpriced and low quality. In San Antonio...if you are paying more than $6.00 and entree than it isn't real mexican food....

Phenomenal Mexican cuisine. This was recommended to me by the concierge at my hotel, and I am very thankful I tried it. I had the Carne Asada tacos - most tender and delicious I had ever ordered. On top of that, mariachi atmosphere that is good for date night, family night, and anything in between. And they are open 24 hours a day!

Bernie was my waiter and he was extremely accommodating. He made my experienxe awesome. Great rice and the Chimichangas, while not on the menu, are packed full of whatever ingredients you want. A definite must-stop in San Antonio's historical market.

I have to agree, this place is for the tourists. Expensive price for the food. First time I bring the family to mi Tierra and I think that was enough. We had always walked by, and we thought we were missing out on something delicious ,but now I know we weren't. The place is decorated really nice and looks like a really cool place and all, but if you want delicious food , its not here. On a 1-10 scale of the food taste I would give it a 6. Trust me I'm mexican and I'm from Houston (were You have really good mexican food anywhere you go) so I know what I'm talking about.

We got there early (6 AM isn) we were the only ones there as it was early on Sun morning. Our waitress was Aiet and she was lovely and very helpful. We had walked and it was already hot so we needed to eat and be back at the hotel for our crew van at 7:30 with time to change. The food was beautifully prepared and as I like my eggs basted I'm never sure how they will arrive. The cook knew exactly what I wanted and our waitress said she had learned something from us that morning as she'd never seen eggs basted before either. Coffee was hot and my cup never cooled off. We took our left overs with us and they were happy to bring pieces of foil to make burritos for later easy. Great place and we'll be back!

We live here in SA and have enjoyed (in the past) going to mkt square and Mi Tierra. But our last visit will be our last. Ordered a simple Cheese Enchilada plate and ask them to leave off the meat sauce and instead put chopped onions and cheese on them. We were charged , what I think was an outrageous fee for that substitution--none of the other Mexican restaurants ,that we frequent, charge extra to do that....If you live here, don't bother to go to Mi Tierra ---let the "tourists" keep them in business--they don't know any better.
