Congratulations to the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) Center of Excellence and Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) Interns! This is an outstanding achievement, and you should all be very proud!

And speaking of proud, we are extremely proud of the nearly one third of the interns listed here who are part of the OSD Centers of Excellence in Autonomy, Cyber Security, or Big Data or part of the TMCF program, here at the Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate, in Rome, NY!

Hyperloop is chugging along with a successful test of a full Hyperloop, hitting speeds of 112 kph (~70 mph) in just over five seconds. The startup claims that its futuristic transport system could one day travel at roughly 1,126 kph (700 mph).

In 1804, the first steam locomotive went 8 kph (5 mph). If the company's claims become reality, the Hyperloop One could travel almost 14,000% faster than its early ancestor.
