We had Catchlight paint 6 separate rooms/spaces in our home in Newton just hours before we moved in because there were many other schedules of work being done on the house to juggle. They did a fabulous job. As Nigel did our initial walk through, he was most informative, courteous, and helpful in giving his feedback on what we were dealing with, and what to look out for that needs to be fixed that the seller's crew did. He also went beyond the scope of the project to make sure our little one's bedroom door ways had the proper work done to keep any old leaded paint from chipping off. On the first day of their work, the foreman kept me updated via phone texts, and I was very grateful for the information and communication. I am not sure how many crew members were involved, but I saw at least a handful of them, all professionally dressed, career painters, focused on their tasks every time I dropped by, unannounced, on other matters of moving. They use paints that are VOC-free, so there were no traces of paint smells when we stepped into the house. Their attention to details were meticulous, and I have very high standards to visual details and presentations. No little splatters under fixtures, and painter tape traces left behind, no brush strokes, or lint marks from cheap rollers. They also had to paint some of the newly renovated details of the house that a construction crew did, and they made it so easy for us, and did all the coordinating with the construction company on their own, and worked around each other at the same time to meet our move-in date. When the crew wrapped up and the foreman said his goodbyes, I was almost sad to see them go, knowing the rest of the things we have to deal with moving wasn't going to be anywhere as pleasant. After the job was done and we moved in, we've had other residential professionals in our home for unrelated updates and quotes. Unprovoked by us, each person remarked how hard it was to paint an older home like hours with hundreds of years of paint and wallpaper underneath, but how well it was done in our home. It gave us much comfort and pride that at least, some things have been updated to the best level possible, and worth all our time and investment. Thank you Catchlight Painting for all your excellent work. We look forward to future updates with you, and leave the painting to the utmost professionals.
