They really put the "small" in small plates. I paid over 20 dollars and ate 1 tiny meatball, a croquette the size of my thumbnail, and 1 brussel sprout with a couple of pieces of diced apple. The food wasn't even that tasty, especially for the price. Im not sure why there is a separate small plate section on the menu when everything is a small plate. I will not be going back!

Vegetarian review. Have a reservation or be prepared for over an hour wait on a Wednesday night. The appetizers are a little bland in flavor. The tapas were also OK. I've eaten way better tapas selections in other restaurants. The paella was good (nothing to write home about though) and the highlight but it's twice the price compared to the quantity delivered.

Fantastic service with very exotic and delicious tapas plates. Sangria was one of the best I've enjoyed.

(RACIST RESTAURANT) Went to Jamonera on Saturday, August 29th, 2015 at 10:40PM. When we arrived, there was no hostess or server available. The bartender came from behind the bar and greeted us. We asked for the kitchen schedule and he said it closes at 11:00PM so we had plenty of time to order dinner. He cleaned one of the tables but we requested to sit in another one further away from the main door. The bartender complained to us that he already cleaned the one close to the door and also added that it was late and that the restaurant was closing soon (20 minutes is plenty of time for food for 3 people). We told him that if it was so much issue to clean another table and serve us food, we would choose another place to eat. His response was: "Sure, you can go to another place". This has been the most horrible customer service experience I have seen in a restaurant in Philadelphia. This is definitely a RACIST place as we were a Latino, a Black woman and a Jewish Russian. Please don't go there, so many other places that can treat people with respect and dignity than this one. Feel ashamed for Jamonera.

My wife and I ate there on a Thursday evening, sat outside on the street, (it was a perfect outside) We ordered 4 different items, and then desert, Seared Melon and Jamon, The Chefs Board, Pork Pincho, and the seared scallops. Every item was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The wait staff was awesome, very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. They timed the courses perfectly, and managed the small outdoor table very well. If i can make one recommendation to someone eating there, get desert, get the bunuelos. That was ridiculously good. It was one of the best deserts i ever had, if not the best. I can't recommend this enough, next time in Philly we'll make it point to eat there again.

Went for dinner (sat at the bar), tried a number of different small plates, and loved all of them. Also caught the late night menu and sangria special that starts at 10pm. Would definitely go back.
