What are your plans for Father's Day this Sunday?

The Origin of wedding Bouquets:

Here is one version of the origin of the traditional wedding bouquet:

In the 1500s, most people got married in June . This was because they took their yearly bath in May and still smelled pretty good by June.

However, by June they were starting to smell so brides carried a bouquet of flowers to hide the body odor. This became today’s custom of carrying a bouquet when getting married.

Today people opt for the non-traditional bouquet in paper flower, brooch, and feather versions… ya know… since we shower now.

Today is a great day to celebrate! We can plan and host fabulous Birthday and Anniversary parties of all kinds. Today birthdays are shared between Jeannette Rankin, first woman elected to Congress; Jacques Cousteau, undersea explorer, writer, filmmaker; Vince Lombardi, football coach; and the wonderful Gene Wilder, actor, director.

Today is "National Iced Tea Day!"
So grab a glass, kick back and enjoy this beautiful weather!

According to the origin of tea is as follows:

"In 1904, English tea plantation owner Richard Blechynden set up a booth to sell hot tea at the St. Louis World Fair. It was a sizzler of a day, and fair visitors didn't want anything hot. Rather, they needed something to quench their thirst... something cold. He dumped some of his hot tea into ice and served it cold. It was an immediate hit. This was the first known use of iced tea."
