Ignore the negative reviews!! In the ten years plus which my wife and I have used Emerald vets we have found Brian and the staff to be fantastic, caring and fair. I cannot praise them enough. Well done Emerald vets and all the best for 2015. Thank you also for your recent kindness with our poorly dog who you looked after and cared for so well. x

I also ignore the negative reviews !!!! We have lived in Wales for 14 years now, we have tried many vets over the years, i can honestly say that Emerald Vets or should i say Brian is a brilliant veterinarian. Its nice to know a vet that does not just think of his bank balance, he actually knows and cares about dogs. His vet nurses have always been very caring, pleasant, but always very busy. I have sent lots of people to use the Emerald for 2nd vacinations or problems with their dogs over the years, and had lots of good feedback. Lots of breeders use Emerald vets and many pet people use them. Not everyone uses the internet, the little old ladies or little old gentleman who has to take their beloved pet to the vet all use Brian, i have met them all in the waiting room. Why do you think that they are always so busy, they are very thorough. All vets have some bad feedback, but don't judge until you know them, this is why we have the freedom of speech, a good vet is very hard to find.. Best wishes and Happy New year Emerald

First class ! I've been using them for 6 years. Brian and the staff are always on the ball. Wouldn't use any other vet now.

Please don't take your animal here! When I first arrived in the area I was told Brian was a great vet. He may have been then, but I have been asking for over a year for dentistry on my dog and kept being told he did not need it. In the end, after two infections this year, I took him to another vet - AND HE HAS HAD FOURTEEN TEETH EXTRACTED - TEETH THAT IF THEY HAD HAD ATTENTION WHEN I FIRST ASKED, THE DOG MIGHT NOT HAVE LOST. I am soooo angry at this - needless suffering my dog has had for a year plus the fact that I could have lost him had the infection from his badly infected gums reached his heart! Take your animal anywhere but here!

Sadly had to have a dog put to sleep yesterday, the staff and Brian could not have been more helpful, courteous or sympathetic. They made a bad situation better with the care and consideration they showed to the pet and the humans involved. Great service.

Well to say i'm angry is putting it mild. Tumble Vets are shockingly bad. I will NEVER have to take any of them there again, thankfully. When i took my Lurcher this morning, upon arrival i didn't receive any eye contact. I just heard "whats the dogs name?" There was no consultation with the vet. I must add, Brian (Vet) has been extremely professional WHEN i've received consultations with various other pets. Its the reception staff. So then still without engaging she came round to take paddy from me and started to DRAG him by his lead which is a slip tightens with each YANK!! So after seeing my reaction she actually spoke to paddy and still being resistant he went with her. Still no eye contact with myself, just 'Call after 1pm' as she disappeared. So we arrive at the vets at 3.30pm to collect him, as she had stated on the phone. The Surgery was shut but she arrived shortly after. No apology or even a hello. When we enter there is another receptionist present, and sadly presented same attitude and disregard. We stood around like fools until she comes out and passes me several pack of tablets saying 'start them tomorrow'. Finally when we are reunited with my lurcher, instantly noticing that they hadn't cut his claws. I had specified this with her and was wrote on the sudation form i had to sign. Which i predicted verbally with my partner beforehand that would 'Forget'. When i asked if they had been done, she appeared a little agitated and looked. Then added 'The quicks were far too low so we didn't do it'. We just left, after paying £145 i could no longer be there as i was at risk of voicing my opinion, rather loudly. We have been observing his nails over the weeks and the quicks are very much retracted. I have a phobia of cutting dog claws, which is why i haven't cut them. So in the end, no customer service or consultation. Nor is there any communication between vets and staff, which i find very disturbing. I know animals aren't regarded highly by most but they are our children and i want to know everything when it comes to their health. Complaint going into the emerald vet group. Not acceptable.

We have been using the Emerald Vet Group for 4 years since we moved to the area from Sussex. We have always had pets and have used several different vets over the years as we have moved from place to place. We think Brian is one of the best that we have ever used and cannot recommend him highly enough.
