Okay, here's the thing with Dancing Ganesha. You have to know what to order and how to navigate. They do a FANTASTIC job with some things.. the chettinad and vindaloo are *ahhhmazing*. The Biryani is also quite good, although not as ridiculously delicious as the aforementioned. I can see why Minnesotans might not like this place.. it is very traditional Indian, including the spice level. The flavors are soooo delicate and spicy. The service is not good. Normally, I would take more stars away from this, but the food is so good, I have to leave it at 4. Don't go there for a date or a large group. Let your Indian colleagues take you there and have them order. If you cannot handle spicy food, then look elsewhere.

The food was good and the prices weren't bad. But the food wasn't anything that special-the naan was burnt. But the worst about going there is the customer service-we we got there one waiter was serving 3 large tables, handling takeout orders, working as the bartender, and hosting. He took forever to wait on us let alone take our orders. I do not plan to ever go back there.

I had been to this place in 2009 for a lunch buffet and the food was bland and had no flavor. Recently I bought a Living Social coupon for this went there for a dinner A La Carte. We were surprised at the quality of food. The food was fresh with full of flavor. I must say, either they have a different cook now or the A La Carte is better than the buffet. They can definitely work on bringing in some more better lighting to the restaurant as we could hardly see what color is our food :) Since it tasted good, we didnt care much :)

Awful!!!! Suprisingly unpleasant. Made dinner reservation for the family and when arrived was shocked from the whole experience. Poorly managed establishment with horrible service. For someone who is not too familiar with Indian cousine -STAY AWAY!!! Waitress was not able to describe a single dish and referred the table to the menu. Freezing cold and very uncomfortable, dark atmosphere. Overall, the food was not great for the money and we would not recommend it....

I had been to this restaurant for lunch yesterday with my husband. We were so hungry and excited to have some tasty Indian food, but things didn't wow us after being there. We went on a Saturday afternoon. The table was shaky that we had to be cautious while taking water also. We learned just how uninterested the waitress was in helping us when water got spilled in that table & maybe explaining any specials or the dishes. We couldn't have found a more non caring attitude...We opted for buffet and it was horrible. There was not even a single vegetarian dish which felt like wow. We felt like they somehow got free spinach for the day, they had spinach in all curries..( Chole palak, dhal palak ) We wasted 25$ for having nothing. We will definitely not go there again.

Off the beaten path downtown. Never a parking issue and food is good. Looking for a place to eat on a quiet side street? This is a good choice.
