We will soon enter our 5th year of our online B&W photography workshop, 256 Shades of Gray (256SOG). A new addition to Charles's collection of images from Bellevue Washington
This morning it was all gray and foggy so I thought I'd go to Bellevue and take some pictures of the building shrouded in fog. By the time I got there, the fog was all gone. But, I'm happy that the fog had lifted because I think this is a fine addition to my Bellevue Rising series.

BTW: I'm now a Master of Photography in the Arcanum. If you'd like to learn how to do this and a whole lot more, please consider joining my mentorship group (cohort) by adding the following text your profile in the Arcanum; www.theArcanum.com

We think you'll love the work of the people in this circle.  Many of them do only monochrome images, though most do a combination of monochrome and color.

        An Art of Photography Circle
Photographers whose art we think will amaze you
 ═════════════════════════════════

#ArtOfPhotographyCircle tag to allow people to easily mute this post.

It's been a while since I shared a circle here on G+ so I thought I would team up with +Scott Thomas and +Brian Dukes to share with you the first new circle I've created in more than a year.  We think you'll find that the photographers in this circle are some of the very best that G+ has to offer.  Of course you're probably already following people like Jeff Sullivan , Lori Hibbett, Jay Patel and  Vivienne Gucwa but we think that all of the people in this circle will add high quality content to your stream.  All share their amazing work and many of them share tutorials and resources to help you perfect your art.

When deciding who would be in this circle, we used these guidelines
• Sharing mostly their own work
• When sharing the work of others, the work is clearly identified
• Little to no, promotional material.
• Some people are included that share a lot about technique but may not share a lot of their photography.
• If they have gifs in their stream, they're almost always educational.
• The images shared by these people frequently fall into the category of, "I wish I'd taken it"
• They post to G+ on a regular basis,  For some this may be a little as once a month.  For others, this may be one or more a day.  People who post less than once a month are not included.  We prefer to circle people that are active here on G+.

No one has asked to be in this circle, however, we intend to share a version of this each month.  *If you know of a talented photographer you'd like us to add*, please leave a comment and share the circle.  Doing so will get us to look at their profile. However, there is no guarantee that we'll include them in a future circle.   We want to maintain the quality of this circle.  Therefore, we will only add photographers that we would want to see in our own personal stream.

Many of the photographers in this circle are well known so we are particularly interested in hearing your choice of photographers with fewer than 15'000 followers.  We would like to give them the opportunity to gain more views for their work.

Please plus, comment and share.  This circle has no requirements for future participation but your support and encouragement is appreciated.

I have chosen the name of the circle carefully to try to accurately represent the quality of the work by the photographers in it.

Validation
This circle was very heavily vetted.  We have looked at each photographer's stream and decide that we would like to include them in this circle. +Charles Lupica (me), +Scott Thomas and +Brian Dukes looked at every profile in the circle before deciding to include that photographer.  We have also included three pages that we manage, +All Things Monochrome +256 Shades of Gray and +The Art of Photography

Reasons for exclusion of photographers we reviewed:
-- animated gifs that don't demonstrate a technique
-- mostly blog posts / twitter style posts
-- mostly link to external content / their blogs
-- don't post regularly to G+ [no posts in the last 4 weeks]
-- nothing but product promotions / workshop promotions
-- Not enough original work of their own in their stream
-- High "noise to signal ratio"

A fully vetted circle like this takes a lot of work so please help by plusing, commenting, and sharing this post.
