Motorola Customer Service - An Oxymoron
Shame on you Motorola. Here's the tale of discontent...
I signed up for a Black Friday Code of £100 off a Moto X (2014). I got an email with the code clearly stating that it would expire at 05.59hrs GMT on 16th December 2014. I was deliberating about ordering and as the deadline approached I made up my mind. In the meantime, Motorola had send two emails reminding me.
I went to order at 00.05hrs GMT on 16th December 2014 and the code didn't work. I lodged a complaint, politely, asking for them to sort it out. Heard nothing via social media or a couple of other (what looked like) obvious contact addresses. Having heard nothing for some days, I tried again and found a place to raise a Support Issue, so did so. I got an email back saying that they'd look into it.
Some days later, I get an email from them telling me...
"...Unfortunately we cannot verify this as the codes have already expired. You had 14 days since the moment you had received the code and you also had received 2 reminders to use it before the expiration date. Unfortunately now it's too late according to the team in charge."
So the implication is that the deadline was a fantasy - no explanation of why it was closed when it should have been open - AND - an implication that because they reminded me twice, I should have acted sooner. Rude people.
Please +1 this for me to expose Motorola's terrible service as possible. Thanks
