Most birds won't, under any circumstances, lie on their backs. Sun conures (a type of parrot) are the exception; when they feel safe and loved, they'll roll, play, or even sleep on their backs. This terrible photo, taken with a crappy phone, shows my baby, Queen Anne, sleeping in such a position on my chest.

I don't know about you, but I can't get Batman: Arkham Origins to work properly on any platform. This DoG editorial focuses on the PC.

So I guess it's not a bad thing that the release is delayed to 8th November in Europe!

Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on LinkedIn Share on Pinterest You know if you need a gaming mouse. You’re not pushing virtual paper around on your desktop; you’re fragging bots and shooting zombies. For gaming, you need an extra-responsive mouse that has lots of buttons and, ideally, a programmable interface. Seeing how they run It was brutal work, but we put six such mice through their gaming paces, using the three ...

This new google+ "interface" is shittastic. It's enough to make me want to delete my account...but I can't, because if I use any google service at all, I have a g+ account. This is pinterest without the creativity. What a piece of crap.

That's interesting. I actually like it. Of course Joel, you don't have to [delete] your account. Just don't click the Google+ button. When I log into Gmail there are a bunch of links on the top that I ignore.

Introduction
"...no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power."  -- Orwell, 1984

The nurses and staff were fantastic, but the emergency department doctor - Dr. Barry Turek - was absolutely vile. He showed no compassion, offered me no dignity, discussed (what little he heard of my case before he rolled his eyes, shook his head, and walked away) everything loudly and outside the confines of my room in the ED. He was mean-spirited and absolutely disgusting as both a doctor (note: he's a DO, not an MD, so he's basically not much more than a glorified chiropractor as I understand it) and as a human being. I will never return to that emergency department unless Barry Turek is dismissed.

I met this so-call physician, the worst doctor I've ever encountered, at Clifton Springs emergency. Condescending and anything but compassionate, he shook his head, rolled his eyes, and violated HIPAA by loudly discussing my case in earshot of any other patients who might have been in the emergency room at the time. He disbelieved a medication reaction that was confirmed by the very hospital at which he worked. I've never felt so humiliated and violated after an encounter with a physician.

I can't say enough great things about this little, indie pharmacy. The pharmacists and the technicians are terrific, friendly, and personable. They go out of their way to please customers. I'm so satisfied with their service that I switched my primary pharmacy from CVS to Phelps Hometown Pharmacy.
