I have used Android for over 6 months, and before I switched I've used iPhones for 5 years in a row. And I admit that I also said that I would never use an Android phone because I wanted a phone that "just works" without hassle. And I also admit that I was wrong about that. Android phones also "just works", and with one huge plus, you can also customize it so it works like you want it to work. And then you can be even more creative and productive.

That's why I prefer Android now. It's my choice. Watch this vlog for all the details about this.

Time is finally running out for the 500m or so people around the world who still rely on Windows XP to perform their daily computing chores. In less than a year, Microsoft will leave them to fend for themselves. There will be no more security patches, bug fixes and free (or even paid) online assistance, as the firm ends its extended support for this operating system http://econ.st/11IpLoJ

Trending: A quarter of a century ago, The World in 1988 light-heartedly ranked 50 countries according to where would be the best place to be born. Then, America came top. Now the Economist Intelligence Unit has more earnestly calculated where would be best to be born in 2013 http://econ.st/VJ0qGi

Map uses color to show you how rich or poor every neighborhood in America is.

Here's a nice contrast -- Silicon Valley on the left is mostly green; the central valley (where the farmers and farm workers are) on the right is mostly red.

Joshua's shoes

Today we were shooting a new tutorial for my "Studio Tabletop Photography for beginners" course with +Joshua Geiger , and I've noticed quite cool shoes on Josua.
He was not surprised when I said "Hey, lets shoot them, they are so shiny and must be cool to photograph". And here we are:-)

Shiny shoes is not an easy target for studio product photographers, but a rewarding when you get them done right.
We have recorded the video about this shot as well. It is not ready yet, but if you want to learn commercial studio photography, check out my other tutorials: http://www.photigy.com/tabletop/
