Any feedback is appreciated.

Paint your own fireworks – Everyone told me how to keep my hand steady and use tripod to make sure the camera does not move so naturally I had to go ahead and move the camera while I was shooting to see what happens.  I liked the results.  By the way, there is no post processing on any of these photos (other than cropping and adding the logo).  They look exactly as they came off the camera.

You may notice some of the shots are a bit different than your typical fireworks photo.  As I was experimenting I learned a few tricks that I have not heard or seen before so I thought you may be interested:

To get the warp speed affect zoom in while the blast is expanding.  You can also zoom out at different situations to get interesting effects.

To omit the center and get shorter lines, wait to take the shot slightly after the blast.

To get a cone shape move the camera as the blast is expanding.  The relative speed of your motion to the blast determines the shape of the cone and direction of the motion determines where the head on the cone is.

To get smooth lines as you move the camera use a fluid head on your tripod.

To have more control over the shape of the lines or to make them less smooth and more random move the camera hand held.

To combine a normal shot and a custom shot, use longer exposure and decide if and how you move the camera for each blast.

The combination of the techniques you use, choice of shutter speed, your timing as well as size and shape of your camera motion make the possibilities limitless.

Happy Painting and Happy belated 4th.
