Overland Park is a costly town so it amazes me that the prices are the cheapest I have seen. It seems to be a little backwards shouldn't the prices be higher here. You have well dressed ladies that sit around all day and wait for the best stuff to come out so they can grab it. Why? are they reselling it. Seems to me that is wrong. They also have this tag system in place here that I have never seen anywhere else. For bigger items you tear the tag in half and keep it until you are ready to purchase it. Meaning they could have that tag for a week if they wanted and there sits the merchandise that no one else can touch because someone else has the other tag. It's bullshit. If they can't pay for it then or haul it at that time they shouldn't take it. Not to mention it isn't posted about this system so if you are new you wouldn't know about it until you tried to buy it. The cashier said it's posted somewhere but she can't recall where. The place is actually a little too dirty to fit the neighborhood and the majority of items are a little to worn or have not been taken care of. Overall I was very disappointed in this goodwill. In general I think all the goodwills and salvation army's are getting overpriced. They want more than you pay in the stores for it now. I have always helped out in any way I can but when it comes down to it I think I will quit shopping these places they have become a business and who really knows what's happening to the money. Probably a lot of overpriced honchos that aren't worth it either which wouldn't be so bad except or they are getting all of these items free in the first place and it's not how it's supposed to be.
