Get to know new Technology :

Google shows what it's like to use Google Glass

Google's Project Glass has intrigued many since it was unveiled in April. It was then that a compelling video showing how the company imagined this technology would be used made people sit up and take notice. In the three months that have followed, Google employees have been seen wearing the Project Glass devices, ably led by company co-founder Sergey Brin. Fittingly it was Brin who took to the stage at the Google I/O developers conference to offer more details on Project Glass, including the pricing and availability.

In order to showcase what Project Glass is already capable of, Google concocted an amazing demonstration. As can be seen in the video below, skydivers conducted a full Google+ Hangout video chat while soaring through the San Francisco air above the Moscone West convention center. They then landed on the roof of the building before heading inside to join Brin on the Google I/O stage.

Other small details revealed at the conference include the presence of sensors detecting where each Project Glass device is on the body and in the wider world, and the fact that Glass will eventually come in different form factors to accommodate those who need to wear spectacles. Beyond that, there is still more that we don't know than we do at this (still early) stage.
The only people who can currently pre-order Project Glass devices are developers in attendance at Google I/O. For US$1,500 they'll receive a prototype version of the spectacles and a software development kit. And Brin no doubt hopes that they create compelling apps for the device. This "Explorer Edition" will be delivered in early 2013, with Brin stating that a "broad consumer offering" should arrive "within a year after that." Which is 2014 for those not too hot on math.

The $1,500 price is a lot of money, and certainly more than was being suggested when Project Glass was first officially announced. However, this sum will likely bear no resemblance to the price asked when the device finally goes on sale to the general public. The version being worn at Google I/O by company employees and offered to developers in attendance is, after all, a mere prototype. Mass-production will inevitably lower the costs to the point that Project Glass should still be priced in line with Android smartphones. If not, then mainstream adoption could be a long time coming.

Definition - What does Click Fraud mean?
Click fraud is an Internet crime where a person, computer program or automated script is maliciously used to register clicks on pay-per-click (PPC) advertising. Click fraud is a crime because each click accrues as a cost to the advertiser, even though the clicks are driven by people who have no interest in the advertised product or service.
Techopedia explains Click Fraud
In its simplest form, a person can engage in click fraud by using different computers – such as a work computer – to click on ads he or she has placed on a personal website. This basic click fraud, along with asking friends and family to click through on ads, generally is not on a scale that is large enough to concern companies that pay for online ads.
Programs and scripts, however, can quickly use up an advertising budget while producing little or no sales in return. Parties that may engage in click fraud include:
Competitors of advertisers: The competitors who are in the same field of advertisers use their force to interrupt the advertiser’s ad campaign by clicking through the ads, even though they have no intention of buying the products. By doing this, the competitors may not gain directly, but they can hurt the advertisers by essentially wasting their advertising budgets.
Advertising networks: Clicks on an ad equate to more revenue for the advertising network serving the ad. This means that there is very little incentive to sniff out click frauds and more than a little pressure to set up click networks to maximize the revenue from a given ad campaign.
Ad driven sites: Sites that offer free content and make their money from ad revenue – shared with the ad networks – may set up click frauds for the obvious reasons of juicing revenue.
In the case of ad networks and ad driven sites, however, click fraud can quickly hit a wall of diminishing returns. Most companies running ad campaigns independently track metrics, such as click-through conversions (referred visitors divided by any spike in product sales), to check the return on advertising dollars spent with certain networks or sites. If these numbers become diluted through click fraud, the advertiser is likely to demand a reduced rate or simply quit using under-performing sites or networks.
Aside from this natural check on click fraud, the definition of an invalid click and the proving and prosecution of click fraud cases are fraught with complications. More often than not, suspected click fraud networks are subjected to lawsuits rather than criminal cases.

Researchers have developed a new lithium-ion battery that can recharge within 10 minutes and hold thrice as much energy as its existing counterparts.

The new batteries could be used in anything from cell phones to hybrid cars.

The design, currently under a provisional patent, could become commercially available within two to three years.

"It's an exciting research. It opens the door for the design of the next generation lithium-ion batteries," said Chongwu Zhou, professor at the University of Southern California (USC) Viterbi School of Engineering, who led the team that developed the battery, the journal Nano Research reports.

Building a Business Worthy Website:
One of the most important (and often overlooked) subjects in SEO is building a site deserving of top rankings at the search engines. A site that ranks #1 for a set of terms in a competitive industry or market segment must be able to justify its value, or risk losing out to competitors who offer more. Search engines' goals are to rank the best, most usable, functional and informative sites first. By intertwining your site's content and performance with these goals, you can help to ensure its long term prospects in the search engine rankings.
Usability : represents the ease-of-use inherent in your site's design, navigation, architecture and functionality. The idea behind the practice is to make your site intuitive so that visitors will have the best possible experience on the site. A whole host of features figure into usability, including:
1)    Design :
2)    Information Architecture
3)    Navigation
4)    Functionality
5)    Accessibility
6)    Content

Definition - What does Bluejacking mean?
Bluejacking is a hacking method that allows an individual to send anonymous messages to Bluetooth-enabled devices within a certain radius. First, the hacker scans his surroundings with a Bluetooth-enabled device, searching for other devices. The hacker then sends an unsolicited message to the detected devices.

Bluejacking is also known as bluehacking.
Explaination  about  Bluejacking
Bluejacking exploits a basic Bluetooth feature that allows devices to send messages to contacts within range.

Bluejacking does not involve device hijacking, despite what the name implies. The bluejacker may send only unsolicited messages. Hijacking does not actually occur because the attacker never has control of the victim’s device. At worst, bluejacking is an annoyance.

Bluesnarfing and bluebugging, however, are actual attacks that may result in a user losing control of his device. Although bluejacking, bluesnarfing and bluebugging use Bluetooth as the point of entry, bluesnarfing and bluebugging are far more harmful.

Bluejacking can be prevented by setting a device to hidden, invisible or non-discoverable mode.
