Piper has started calling her Nana's container of Carmex PePe.  Who knows why, she's just a little weirdo these days!  She likes to hide PePe from her Nana all the time, and when asked if she knows where PePe is, simply responds "I hide" and then giggles.  Good thing her mom knows all of her hiding places, for the time being at least.  Oh, and I caught her trying to eat glass last Sunday morning.  Apparently she managed to sneak out of bed, steal my cell phone and an empty wine glass off the nightstand (mama had a glass of wine while watching movies in bed on the laptop Saturday night, yay me time!) in my bedroom, which means standing on top of my new very expensive laptop to do so.  Subsequently ,she then managed to "hide" my phone cover, thankfully did not break the phone, but did wake me up to the sound of breaking glass.  Found her in the hallway of the house picking up the now-in-two-pieces wine glass, which I immediately retrieved, but then I noticed her cheeks.  Sure as shit she had 3 pieces of thankfully blunt ended wine glass stem in her mouth.  She's trying to give me a heart attack!  I spent my first waking half hour delicately taping a wine glass stem back together to make sure I had all the pieces and she wasn't harboring any glassware in her tummy, sheesh!  Sneaky, too tall and smart for her age, and now in full opening everything mode and taking what she wants mode...yes, time to finally full-on childproof my life!

Piper went and is still going through the sometimes slapping the face phase, but more with her Nana than anyone else.  I use a very similar method learned from my cousin but we call it "soft paws" as it was first used to teach Piper how to pet the cats and not terrorize them.  I works like a charm, but doesn't completely end the need for her to show us she wants to be boss once in awhile.  But good news, all the cats now let her just lie on top of them and cuddle...even Sage who I have dubbed "bitch kitty" for her need to also be queen of the household.
