Food was incredible, service was great and atmosphere was nice. Definitely recommend. I had the short rib and it was awesome. My wife had the hanger steak which she enjoyed. We brought her leftovers home and had the next morning in a frittata. Hope to head back there soon.

We love this place. We go there about once a month and have never had a bad meal. Great wine list and excellent service. The menu changes regularly and always seems to have some uncommon ingredients.

I went here for Mothers Day and I was looking forward to it after all the fantastic reviews. The worst part was the service. Had to chase the waitress every time we needed something and nobody was busy. It was a buffet. Food was nothing special but descent. But over priced and a poor selection for a buffet. We go to a new buffet every year and in ten years this was the worst one we have seen. 20% tip automatically added in on bill. Maybe the reason for the bad service. Not only did we have a table in the isle and we were bumped into every time someone walked by but all the employees were hanging around the front desk which meant they were always in the way when going to the buffet. I read so many reviews on how great this place was but it was bad enough that we will never try it again.

Hah, I need to skew the current rating. I have no idea where some of the previous reviewers have eaten, but zebra is, by far, the best American bistro within, at least, a 10 mile radius. Full disclosure, my wife and I only eat at the bar. We have never felt unwelcome. The menu is very contemporary and they are always changing with the times. The majority of the ingredients are clearly from local farms and seasonal/stored. After having lived on beacon street in brookline, this place is exactly as the owners have described, a neighborhood bistro in the "city".

My wife and I go to Zebra's when we want a nice dinner but don't want to head into the city. Always a consistent, enjoyable experience.

I tried Zebra's two times, both evenings on or near a weekend. I found everything over priced and more of a show than a great dinner. Many of the people seemed to enjoy the exaggerated hype but the real test is the food and possibly the drinks which were also ridiculously priced for what they were. More people should write reviews because I see that one favorite is doing many reviews which probably means he is a friend and perhaps his reviews should get thrown out when there are enough others. Come on people, speak up because this store is not worth the money.

So this was our 3rd time at Zebra's and what a disappointment. We were sat at 8am, took about 10 minutes to get our order and another 50 minutes to get our sushi appetizer. They did give us a free bowl of miso soup, but really? Oh, and the decent bread basket is now gone and you only get a half of a roll. We finally got our main entrees, cod and salmon which were ok. We had to skip dessert as there were no chocolate options offered, but after waiting for dinner so long, it was time to leave regardless. Will have to find a new local favorite.
