We love this place. We go there about once a month and have never had a bad meal. Great wine list and excellent service. The menu changes regularly and always seems to have some uncommon ingredients.

we were pleasantly surprised by zebra's. it was a very snowy night, and we had to trudge a block through the snow from where we were parked, but it ended up a very pleasant, surprisingly good evening. though a little expensive for the far burbs, it was worth the drive and the expense. they know what they're doing and take pride in it.

Stuffy atmosphere and very pricey. Have tried this place several times over the last 10 years. If pricey and a stuffy atmosphere without a good menu to back it up is what you are after then you should check it out. For sushi I recommend Takara. For a great fine dining experience I recommend Chiara in Westwood.

Not worth the hype. We've been wanting to try Zebra's for a few months now. After reading the menu online and seeing the all the positive reviews, we were very excited to try it. Turns out though - just a lot of hype. The "Beef Tenderloin" appetizer was tough. Borderline Hangar Steak grittiness and the portion was microscopic. Even by Tappas standards, much overpriced at over $12.95. $8.95 would have been a justifiable rate for the tiny portion of meat if they in fact used tenderloin - but I'm skeptical that they did. I got the braised short ribs. They were good. Home- cooked short-ribs kind of good. Enjoyable. But worth $25? Not in a million years. And while being much easier to chew than all the other meat on our table last evening, it still clearly wasn't very high quality meat. It was listed as coming with Horseradish Mashed Potatoes and "Root Vegetables", but the only root vegetable was carrots. The carrots were very good to their credit. But from their description I was expecting at least one other root vegetable or even a root vegetable medley. All in all, this meal was enjoyable - just way overpriced for the flavor and portion. My girlfriend got the mango chutney pork chop entree on the special menu. The mango added a good flavor to the dish, but once again the meat was tough as leather. Our waitress was helpful enough, but didn't come across as being sincere. The ambiance and atmosphere were fantastic and the hostesses were very friendly. But that won't be enough to make us come back. Our espresso martini was good. We asked for a side of Bailey's to make the martini creamy. Much to our surprise, the shot of bailey's was $10! 50 Cents MORE than the mixed drink! Next time we are in the mood to drop $75-125 for dinner for 2, we'll head to Sel De La Terre in Natick, Truffles in Milford, or Tavolino in Foxborough. We are in disbelief that this place is talked about so positively.

I tried Zebra's two times, both evenings on or near a weekend. I found everything over priced and more of a show than a great dinner. Many of the people seemed to enjoy the exaggerated hype but the real test is the food and possibly the drinks which were also ridiculously priced for what they were. More people should write reviews because I see that one favorite is doing many reviews which probably means he is a friend and perhaps his reviews should get thrown out when there are enough others. Come on people, speak up because this store is not worth the money.

Jack's sushi is the best as is everything else on the menu. Wine is top notch. Catered my wedding on short notice too! Going tonight and can't wait '

I was on a business trip for a couple days and wanted to try some local good food. I use a search engine to find a good restaurant. Since me and my colleague were quite late we found this place with decent reviews. We decided to give it a try. We did not regret it. The food is really good. we tried the crab cakes, clam chowder, diver scallops, the fried cod, vanilla creme brulee and the flour less chocolate cake. The clam chowder was a little surprising since it was quite liquid and had a lot of bacon, but very good. The rest of the meal was quite delicious. I agree with the others reviewers, the price are on the high side and quantity are on the low side, but this evening they were having a special menu price, appetizer, entree and dessert for $33. The three together does make a perfect meal with the right amount of food. however if you only take an entree alone, it may be not enought. The atmosphere was also very nice, however a littel dark to read the menu to my taste. the service was good. we did not wait too long between dishes. bottom line if you are looking for a good place to eat, try some food that is well made this is the place. I did not gave five star because of the price, but food wise I definitely recommend it.

I went here for Mothers Day and I was looking forward to it after all the fantastic reviews. The worst part was the service. Had to chase the waitress every time we needed something and nobody was busy. It was a buffet. Food was nothing special but descent. But over priced and a poor selection for a buffet. We go to a new buffet every year and in ten years this was the worst one we have seen. 20% tip automatically added in on bill. Maybe the reason for the bad service. Not only did we have a table in the isle and we were bumped into every time someone walked by but all the employees were hanging around the front desk which meant they were always in the way when going to the buffet. I read so many reviews on how great this place was but it was bad enough that we will never try it again.
