So here’s the story: Some time ago, Chuck Gannon, a fine writer and a very nice guy, asked me if I’d like to try to contribute a story to an anthology he was putting together that would take place in his Caine Riordan universe. I had only read one of the…

Some quick notes about Resist Fascism, Capclave and other things.

Hi, folks — Sorry that it took me so long to cap the end of my last blog post — I’m sure you were all on pins and needles waiting to find out what happened. (Well, probably not, but still…) Anyway, the Resist Fascism Kickstarter did make its goal, with…

Looking forward to it! (And Richard Bowes' story is indeed brilliant...)
Tonight begins Hour of the Wolf version 4.0 as we move to Wednesday nights (or Thursday morning, if you prefer) from Midnight to 3 AM. There will be a change in format that will emerge over time as I learn the dynamics of this new timeslot. I'll be inviting you to call in (or chat over Facebook Live on my timeline) with comments and ideas, as I speak some of the history of the show (like how I come to consider this ver. 4.0) and some WBAI history.

This being an inaugural show, and one close to September 11th, we will hear a rebroadcast of Richard Bowes reading his brilliant short story, "There's a Hole in the City."

So tune in WBAI 99.5 FM New York, wbai.org, or Facebook Live beginning at Midnight to join us!

My short story "Sabbath Wine" is now available to read in Russian!

I had completely forgotten about this — which gives you some idea of my state of mind these days — but a few months ago the Russian science fiction/fantasy magazine Darker asked for permission to translate my story “Sabbath Wine” into Russian and run it…

A few weeks ago, for few short days, I thought I might have to miss Readercon this year. I’m pleased to report that, as it turned out, Jim and I will be driving up Friday morning in time to catch the Friday evening panels, and will be staying through the…
