Not in the sense that my number always gets called or that I never get stuck in traffic jams, but in a more consistent manner. In a more undeserving fashion. "Luck by Grace" might actually be the coined term.
As a patriot, I consider myself lucky just to be a citizen of the greatest country in the world. However, my fortune runs much deeper than this.
I was born healthy into an incredible family. A family that has always been there for me. A dad who has always been my mentor and closest friend. A mom who raised me to work like a man and play like a boy. A sister whom I adore and would do anything for. My extended family has always been nothing but supportive. I was blessed with all of this simply by taking my first breath.
My friends have allowed me to grow through life's experiences. Through hurt and laughter, the relationships that I have built have remained a central part of my life. Even though friendships come and go, I have learned to cherish the people I am fortunate enough to encounter.
Many of the aforementioned aspects of my life eventually led me to pursue my dream of having a career that enables me to help people. After receiving my Bachelors degree, I eagerly look forward to the chance of using what I have learned to positively impact the development of hurting individuals.
Then there is this girl. Although her wisdom, grace, and beauty seem to overshadow that term a little bit. With her, there is peace; and in that peace there lies a mystery that begs to be discovered.
So you see, the things you have to know about me, really have nothing to do with me. They have to do with a God that somehow saw fit to give me more than just Himself, which would have still left me in a whirlwind of grace. Instead, He has blessed me with this life and the changing path He continues to lead me down.
