I arrived at the Hotel at midnight AZ. time after traveling from Boston all day with my infant son. Overall, the place looked fairly decent, but could certainly use an update. I was given the keys to my suite on the 4 th. floor. After checking in, I made my way up to my room, with some help from a staff member. I noticed a heavy stench of smoke odor, while walking down the hall. I did notice, that the rooms all had no smoking signs on them. I, in turned asked the host, was this a non-smoking room, as I am traveling with a infant, with Asthma. By, that time, I was exhausted, I turned on the a/c and hit the hay, as we had plans for the day. When, Throughout the night, I woke up sweating, my son began coughing and also was hot. I attributed it to the change of weather from Boston. Well, unfortunately, I woke up with a sick child, he had a bowel movement before we left in the am. "not to be graphic " but, I threw the poop down the toilet and flushed well, the poop left a stain on the toilet bowel and the lid. I assumed housekeeping would be cleaning the toilet so, I had no concerns. After a long day, we returned to our room, it was still very hot, I went to use the bathroom, only to discover a tidy bathroom and suite with a dirty toilet bowel, with the same poop marks from 9:00 this morning. Well, that was the icing on the cake, I called down to see if the toilets were cleaned on a daily basis, they advised me they were. I explained to (Dick) the manager the toilets were not cleaned, he offered to send someone up to clean it. At, that point, I had a sick baby, I declined, I can clean it up. I had mentioned how hot the room was, they sent up house keeping who later figured out, the a/c was not working. Due, to the smoke and poor air quality and lack of a/c, I was forced to order room service. I could not order much for my baby but milk and icecream as he only has a few teeth. This cost me over $50.00, which I was not pleased about. So, to make a long story short at ten pm. I had to pack up my unpacked room and sick baby and move to a new room, with proper a/c. I did not have one minute to relax. The following day we left for the day as well, my son pooped and once again, I threw it in the toilet, only to come home to the same tidy room, with poop stains in the toilet again. At that point it was clear, housekeeping was not cleaning toilet bowls. After all, this , I just wanted to go to bed, I turned the bed down only to find the same soiled sheets, I slept in the night before, from my sons formula. I could not believe this was happening to me. I called down and asked if the sheets were cleaned on a daily basis, they advised they were not. I asked for clean sheets and put fresh sheets on myself. So, needless to say, after all of this I was offered a $7.00 complimentary breakfast, and told because I booked threw orbitz, there was nothing they could due. So, upon checking out Rose the Hotel manager stated she was going to work with me. I have yet to see anything. It would be nice to be compensated, as my vaction was ruined and I was forced to stay in a dirty hotel with a baby in respritory distress, making my own bed , and ordering overpriced room service for milk and melted icecream !! Not a great experience !!!

This could have been a good hotel 20 years ago, but it is showing its age. The carpet in the rooms on the fourth floor were terrible, though they were replacing it on the second floor, so I imagine they will do the rest at some point. The Wi-Fi signal is very poor. The staff was courteous, but unnattentive. The breakfast offered should be free instead of $10 after paying for the buffet and a tip for the waiter. All the other hotels in the area offer a free breakfast.

They allow animals in the room, so if you have allergies like i do don't say here. They did not tell me about this. It is not on the website and they did not tell me when I book the room for the weekend.

The lobby and atrium are dated but the rooms are very nicely laid out with newer fabrics etc. The beds were comfortable after a long day of traveling. My only complaint was the air conditioning seemed to go in spurts of cooling the room. I was never hot but it went from slightly warm to cool every few hours.
