What a great couple of months for the Global Ed directors! — August saw Jill Eggleton receive Storylines Lifetime achievement award, the Margaret Mahy Medal and in September Tracy Strudley was nominated as a finalist in the Education category of the NEXT Woman of the Year Awards 2015. Jill Eggleton, reading her book, Out of Bubblo to a rapt audience at Dawson Primary. Out of Bubblo tells the story of Bud-e and how he comes to Earth which then leads on to the Bud-e Reading programme, developed by Jill for pre-school and emergent readers, and turned into a digital game format by gaming studio Custard Square. 18 fiction titles have now been added to the Connectors series of books. Previously a series of 48 non fiction titles split into two levels. Developed by Jill Eggleton, author and educationalist, for small group independent  reading in the classroom (upper level primary). Available now through Scholastic NZ, Australia and UK.
