12 years after Bush v. Gore, Democrats still appear mostly oblivious to GOP vote-suppression tactics.

Is there anyone who still believes that Fox is anything more than a propaganda machine for the GOP? They aren't even TRYING to cover it up or appear "fair and balanced" anymore.

This morning on Fox & Friends, Fox News aired a straight-up, unadulterated four-minute attack ad mocking Obama's "Hope and Change" message and cataloguing the purported failures of h...

Why is it that Blogger can't handle basic, fundamental formatting? When I hit enter for a new paragraph, and it looks normal, it PUBLISHES some of those paragraphs with TWO spaces instead of one. I have no control. What gives?

This is perhaps the most important thing I've ever written. It applies to Christians, but I think non-Christians will appreciate it as much (or more). I think it may be the core of the story I feel I was born to tell.

How to begin? What sort of flashy intro might I use to grab a reader's attention? ...I can't say I really care. This is not something I want to dress up and "sell" to anyone. It'...

PHONE UPDATE: I had the Galaxy S3 for 3 days. I took it back and traded for an iPhone 4S. Apologies to my Android-savvy and truly tech-geeky friends... I wanted to be one of you - I really did - but that's not me. I still appreciate that it's you.

See, I intuit everything in life, so an intuitive interface is everything for me. Everything just didn't feel "natural" with the S3, and I'm not even an Apple devotee guy, so it's not that familiarity informing my impressions here. Add to the cumbersome interface a battery that was hopelessly-taxed by all kinds of things I had no interest in using, and the need to add all the useful apps myself rather than having them come standard... Yeah. I was not happy with the S3.

At the end of the day, I'm just not the kind of person who's going to spend a million hours learning a phone and getting it just right. I guess I'd rather have a phone that's less awesome technically if that means it's going to assume the right things about how I intend to use it.

I didn't see this, sorry to hear the S3 didn't work out. I know the S3 has the "touchwiz" (for real) skin overlaying it, so I wonder if that is actually harder to use than stock Android. There are some things in Android that are still not the best UX wise, but I feel like at least my Galaxy Nexus (stock Android) is pretty intuitive. And as for non-stock apps, the only ones I really hate not having are a sound recorder (this is pretty dumb to not be there) and a podcasting app (Google actually just retired their Listen podcast app because better alternatives are in the market and they don't want to work on it... they need to move it into the music app).

I'm curious, what were the other non-stock apps that weren't available?

I'm more interested in the gubernatorial race in Wisconsin than I have been the presidential primary or general election this year. It makes a huge statement whatever Wisconsin does... Here's to hoping the people turn up and say no to plutocrats trying to pretend the 20th century never happened. I for one would rather go back to the 60's than the Gilded Age.

This quote illustrates two things: 1) Nothing has changed since the 40's, and 2) Harry S. Truman remains a badass.
