Well I've determined that my megadungeon, the Temple of the Underworld, was built on the site of an ancient elven facility, likely built around the portal to Hades that gives the dungeon its name. But what happened after the temple was abandoned (though it may not have been entirely abandoned, perhaps some of the priests survived and established a community and a new temple deeper under the original?)? Perhaps goblinoids of some kind moved in, but I would find that not sufficiently interesting, unless these goblins/orcs had something special about them (maybe a cult of the orc god of death, which in the D&D orc pantheon would be Yutrus). Since there is perhaps five hundred years between the original abandonment and the present day of the campaign, several groups could have moved in over that time.

My "Edge of the Republic" campaign is currently on hiatus, but I am hoping to start it up again soon. Hopefully in one to two months.

When we had left off the players had arrived to rendevous with a Hutt fleet only to learn it was under attack by the pirates they were supposed to fight alongside the Hutt fleet. So the PCs were just about to intercept a bombing run on one of Hutt vessels when we had to stop.

I am working on my megadungeon. I am thinking that I will come up with a couple of "special" set-piece encounters and do the rest by random generation. I might need some suggestions, though.

I am also considering determining some of the previous builders of the megadungeon. The first (or are they) were members of a fallen Empire, sort of a psuedo-Rome, but with an elven culture taking the role the Greeks held for the Romans. It's been five-hundred years since the Empire fell, though the original builders may not have left until sometime later.

I am working on a sort of reboot to my campaign. It was a semi-OSR 5e campaign, but I want to use a fully OSR rules set now. I am thinking ACKS, though possibly hacking it a bit. I have been modifying the map of my megadungeon a bit, I also need a wilderness map to put the dungeon in. I am considering using the Outdoor Survival map.

A new post on my blog about my campaign. It is using 5e rules, but is generally old school in style.
