Honestly, I wanted to like the place. Everyone I know who's been hypes it up. I tried their popular Rancor burger and I was very much let down by it. The meat was overcooked and it was low on any flavors outside of 'cooked'. Their beer selection is a little lackluster, as well. The outside was a little dirty and the one table that was available took forever to get cleaned. I wanted to like this place. Its a shame it didn't deliver.

Hipster bar/burger joint that's family friendly and makes a mean burger. Their beer menu is seriously impressive and rotates enough to stay interesting. It may not be the biggest bargain but you will find some great beers here that I'd bet you've never tried. I definitely recommend a visit! Try the Rankor burger!

Bartender had an attitude, they don't have a beer menu or food menu, unless it's written on the chalkboard (that's it). The tables outside were dirty and patio unkeept, the food i ordered (basket of fries) sucked. HOW CAN YOU RUIN FRIES! They managed to do it. I'm new to houston and this place is definitely not the top beer bar to go to. Better places exist, (gingerman and that general area, midtown).

One of my favorite places in Houston. Awesome selection of delicious beers, and the food is pretty good too! It's a low-key place with a lot of outdoor seating.

Good rotating beer selection, and outdoor seating. Food menu is usually good. Not much indoor seating... and expect to wait at least an hour for food.

Petrol Station is definitely my favorite craft beer bar. They always have a great selection with plenty of beers and breweries that I have never even heard of, so you can always explore new ones. The bartenders and owner are very knowledgable and nice so will help you find one that you will like. The food is also fantastic and they have rotating Monday specials. The only downside is that the inside area is very limited, so it isn't a good place during the heat, cold and rain. But they have plenty of shade, heat lamps, and bug spray to take care of it. The prices are also very reasonable/lower than most other places around.

Best burger in Houston! You get it all here - excellent beer selection, amazing burgers, parmesan fries, and a funky ambiance in a converted gas station. This place is worth the drive out of the loop. It can get crowded and the food may take awhile to come out but if it's a nice day, grab a seat at some picnic tables, drink lots of beer, and have a great time!
