Bald Eagles 04-19-2016 21:03:26 Category: I shot this pair of Bald Eagles today. Based on their behavior I believe the female is on the left and the made on the right. Females are typically larger than the males, but otherwise they look identical and are very hard to tell apart.

Just posted my review of the LensAlign and FocusTune system for setting focus microadjustment con your Canon DSLR ("Fine Tune" for Nikon DSLRs). LensAlign is the hardware part and FocusTune is the software. The system also allows you to quickly find the sharpest aperture of any lens.

http://bobatkins.com/photography/reviews/lensalign_focustune_review.html
LensAlign and FocusTume enagble a user to optimize lens performance by indicating the best microfocus adjustment setting and the optimum aperture for the sharpest images.

A first look at Canon's new EF-S 18-135/3.5-5.6 IS USM. This lens uses a new focus moter system combining the best features of USM (fast operation) and STM (smooth focus). The lens is also the first Canon EOS lens that can, with the addition of the PZ-1, fitted with a power zoom feature, ideal for video work.

The Canon EF-S 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 IS US is a lens releasted with the EOS 80D. It's aimed at the video shooter, though works wll for all types of photography. The PZ-1 adapter adds a power zoom function

I've just posted an article which describes some recent experiments looking at the effect of the light source on autofocus accuracy. Some interesting results, showing that the amount of IR present can affect focus for visible light.

Focus can shift was a result of the type of light used to illuminate a scene
