Tommy Nevin's poured its first pint on September 13, 1990. The Irish-themed restaurant/pub was the brainchild of Steven Prescott, who named the restaurant/pub after his grandfather, Thomas Nevin. Thomas or "Tommy" as was affectionately known was a WWI hero and devoted father. Irish Pubs LLC purchased Tommy Nevin's on May 15, 2003.

Tommy Nevin’s Pub Naperville opened its doors July 2007; with a focus on serving great food, being a place for good conversation and music, in a distinctive Irish inspired atmosphere. Our menu is traditional Irish and American comfort food, and our collection of spirits is extensive. We are a team comprised of individuals dedicated to achieving and maintaining the highest standards of service, product, and entertainment. It is only by meeting the highest expectations of our customers that we can achieve total success.

We invite you to raise your glass with us and say Slainte!

Let me start by saying the best part of our visit was that they had Smithwicks on tap. Our service was great. Our food, not so great. The burger had no taste. Fries were overcooked. BFO soup was not hot just luke warm, like it sat in the window for ten minutes. The ceasar dressing tasted like mayo. We got the sampler appetizer and the best part of that were the 4 beef tips. Bland, boring and almost inedible. Our daughter had the mac & cheese. However, for $10.99, the portion was as if she ordered off the kids menu. They were out of Budweiser and french dressing. We will never return. VERY DISSAPOINTING AND NOT WORTH YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!!!!!

My husband got food poisoning from a chicken sandwich.I contacted them and even went in person to complain. The management would not even call me back! I whole heartily recommend Tommy Nevins if you want to get violently ill for days and have absolutely NO ONE CARE!!!!

Tommy Nevin's Brewery is a night and day difference from the Limestone that used to be there. Unlike Limestone, the beer is drinkable and the food is edible. In fact, the beer and food were great. I especially liked the Amber ale. Also, they have a wonderful selection of other craft brews on tap. I had the ribs which slightly stayed on the bone (perfect!), and had a great bark. The quality of the meat seemed to be good and the flavor was great. I had the tater tots which were perfectly crispy. I also liked the atmosphere with it's spaciousness and available TVs. My only complaint this that you cant get kegs of their beer to go. I buy kegs of beer from a local brewery for $120.00, and I was hoping to buy some of their beers. Maybe they will start doing this in the future.

I went here with my wife, sister, and her boyfriend for some drinks and dessert. It was easy to get to and parking was easy, albeit a little crowded. Walking in it felt comfortable - enough background noise to cover conversation from prying ears but not so much that the din made it impossible to have a conversation with your table mates. We had drinks and dessert - I had the bread pudding (very, very rich), my wife had the ice cream sundae and split it with my sister's boyfriend, and my sister had the apple crumble. For drinks we had margaritas, rum and cokes, Guinness, and bottled beer. The service was great - she didn't pester us, but the waitress made sure we were good to go. We were there about an hour and a half. The price was very reasonable. While we were there, the lady at the next table over was falling down drunk. It was good to see the staff reassuring her that they had called a cab (she had barfed into her drink, I think.) The drunk decided to try to leave in her own vehicle - my sister and her boyfriend noticed this while stepping outside for a smoke. They alerted the staff and they were on the ball. When we left, we saw that her vehicle was still there. I'm definitely planning on going back.

They are truncating their menu and getting rid of the best things on the menu. The Chicken Grill, the Strawberry Chicken Salad, and they don't even have prepared horseradish. What the hell are they thinking? You don't have Prepared Horseradish with corned beef and cabbage? What type of Irish Pub is this? Not to mention the obnoxious drunken trivia announcer. Before trivia started he was screaming about how he's on level 240 something of Candy Crush while were trying to eat. Common courtesy in the dining room would be nice.

Upscale bar with OK food. The people are great, service is always a pleasure. The food is good enough for the prices. The beer selection is decent. If you're looking for good beer I'd head to Two Brothers first but Tommy Nevin's is great if you don't want to drive to Aurora or Warrenville.

Visited for 3rd or 4th time on 2/28/13. Some confusion over who was a assigned our table, but we got double the attention instead of zero attention. The staff sorted this out quickly. The wife was very happy with everything. My portion was somewhat smaller this time compared to the normal gynormous serving. Still plenty to eat.
