Hi Lee -
I am writing to make you aware of a payroll change that will be reflected in your
next pay advice on September 15th.

consequently, receive exactly the same tax benefits as opposite sex couples.

For this reason, we need to adjust the way your present health care deductions
(medical and/or dental insurance) will be handled going forward. Specifically, the
portion of your premium that represents coverage for your spouse will be displayed
as a separate payroll deduction on your future pay advices. This change will result
in a small increase in your taxable income and, possibly, a corresponding increase
in your tax withholding.
I will be happy to discuss this change with you or with your tax advisor, if any
additional information would be helpful.
Can we please repeal the so-called Defense of Marriage Act already?
