Overly large portions is this restaurant's specialty. It's amazingly cheap when you see how much food you get. The food isn't amazing, but it will definitely fill you up, and you'll have leftovers as well. La Famiglia Girogio's does have a cozy feel to it, which I liked, and everyone who worked there had a clear dedication to making the customer happy. Overall, it's a good restaurant to go to if you want to stuff your face AND have something to take home without breaking your bank.

We have been going to La Famiglia for years. After a few weeks ago, NEVER again. Guy seating folks, likely a family member who has been doing this for a LONG time, told us that the wait would be 15 minutes. After waiting 30 minutes, I went up to him and informed him that he had said "15 minutes". "I was wrong", he said, arrogantly and with no apology. By the time we got seated we had waited for ONE HOUR and 15 minutes. No apology, no nothing. We missed our movie. It's very apparent that the main priority at La Famiglia's is to make money, weather they are honest with customers or not. La Famiglia is not the only game in time. We've been to many other restaurants and I hope to NEVER, EVER return there again. Nor should you, if you would be bothered by this kind of nonsense. At least be honest with people! While I understand that seating folks isn't always precise, to be off by an hour is simply unconscionable. When I make a mistake with my customers, I usually make it up in some way. NOT La Famiglia. They just don't care.

The food was amazing! I had the mussels fra diavolo and it was probably the best I've ever had! The wine was delicious too! Would definitely go back again soon!

Absolutely enormous plates of pasta! Mike and the staff were super friendly, attentive and made the evening feel like we were visiting with a big Italian family. I opted for the homemade pasta and a meatball and was not disappointed. My wife's platter of penne, marinara and two chicken breasts was huge and tasty.

I have been Gluten Free for the past 12 years, have an Italian Uncle, have traveled extensively through Italy and WAS THRILLED with the authentic food and the friendly service at La Famiglia. There are different regions of Italy and when it comes to good Italian food, there are different approaches to the cuisine. La Famiglia serves Roman Italian fare with generous portions. For you gluten free foodies out there, I was able to choose from 6 different types of gluten free pasta and the gluten free margherita pizza that we had was with a fresh homemade crust that was as good as the last one I had in Florence before I found out that I couldn't eat gluten. The wine selection was fantastic and both the wine and meals were very reasonably priced, especially for eating out in the North End. Loved it and will definitely go again. Thank you!

All of our food was fantastic and authentic Italian, but the waitress we had was rude and unwelcoming which somewhat ruined the experience.
