ok so I am a hispanic person and first of for some wierd reason when a hispanic goes eats at a hispanic restaurant and there are caucasian people there we are puahed aside and not a priority. we ordered first and they brought out the other peoples food first. we asked for extra plates and she never brought them. it was cold outside and the inside of building was freezing cold. Turn the HEAT UP!!! one of our bean and cheese popusa tasted like the beans or cheese was bad. then we told server and made a face of what ever. server did not check up on us and had to take my soda up to the bar for refill. there is only about 6 tables and a bar. other than that good food but alittle tight place

Gluten Free options. Great food and interesting menu keeps me going back. They tend to change their menu and specials enough that it won't get boring. They have a good selection of alcoholic drinks. Location is great and the staff are courteous and friendly. Make sure you have a good conversation with the staff because they are all very interesting. I usually skip desert but this is one restaurant where I like to indulge. It is hard to find good gluten free desert but they have a diverse offering of yummy treats.

I am a very picky eater and I tried the entree sampler and everything I had was amazing. I have not been this surprised by a restaurant in quite some time.

We had been wanting to try this place for a long time. I'm glad we finally did. The plantains were as good or better than what we get at a Cuban restaurant in Key West. I had (I think the name was) El Carbenero. It was delicious.

My wife found this place in the Pitch. I must admit, I wasn't too excited, expecting blandness and lots of frying. How very wrong I was. They had a special dish of Salvadoran meatballs, and holy crap. Genuinely incredible! the most tender, moist and flavorful meatballs I've had in the city. Fantastic. My wife is a vegetarian and was comfortably able to eat here. Although avoid the beans, they have lard. She had plantains with cream and a cheese pupusa and was very happy. The service may be a bit slow and disorganized, but who cares. Try this place!

Not sure I like it as much as El Pulgarcito, but it's really good.
