Gino Angelini's kitchen philosophy is simple and authentic, focused on the products and the region; a kitchen that renews itself without losing sight of the true Italian tradition.

The square, the church, and the Osteria. In the past, those were the meeting places of Italian people, in small towns and in the cities' suburbs. Places where the rich and the poor used to sit close, where the cultured and the uninstructed could find a way to communicate - in the Osteria - around a table, with a pack of playing cards and a carafe of wine.

This place has great pasta and italian food. My GF got the special of the day -- a fish and she loved the flavor and style of cooking. I got a really truffle pasta - and I usually don't like truffle - but this was fantastic! They give you delicious, crispy bread as an appetizer and it's wonderfully seasoned. It's like a really good saltine cracker. really really good. Great place for date night! They have valet parking.

Surprisingly homey feeling for such a well-regarded Italian place. Modestly sized inside and out, clearly lots of regulars in attendance. Complete with a staff member seated, guarding the door. The weakest part of the meal was the salad-- looked like random fancy vegetable parts with grated carrots scattered on a plate. Tasted just fine, but didn't match the rest of the meal. A seafood bisque came with the bread, from traditional slices to a slightly buttered, fancy thin crunchy bread. All were very good. Then the two main courses-- lasagna was massive, covered in fresh greens for garnish, and tasty. The uni pasta was the other-- and holy crap, it was *GOOD*. Portion seemed a little small, but in reality it was perfect, given the richness of the uni and the sauces and flavors. Easily one of the best uni pastas I've had. Service was pretty good but not amazing; that and the salad are the only two slight chinks in this places' rating.

Make reservations. Honestly. A very cute place for an intimate dinner and or celebration with friends and family! Service was really good and good is even better! I was really happy with my truffle spaghetti, bone marrow gnocchi, octopus salad, and UNI pasta. Pretty impressed by the about of truffle that they put on the truffle spaghetti but it was a whopping $55 dollars. If you tell them it's your birthday they give you choice of tiramisu or chocolate cake :) Will definitely be back!

This is a beautiful place and I'm glad that I was able to stop by. However, the layout of the building was rather interesting. It was hard to get around and really try to figure out where you're going.

Lemon Ricotta Pancakes- This is perhaps one of their most popular items. It's really not like any other pancake I've ever had. The interior is very fluffy, some say souffle, but it was more like meringue to me. It's something that I think everyone should try at least once but it personally wasn't my favorite.

Angelini is quaint and tasty. We all loved the herb flatbread they brought out in the beginning and they were really generous and gave us some anti-pasta to try which was very flavorful. The chopped salad is really wonderful, lots of textures and a good amount of saltiness. I got the pumpkin filled pasta which was good, but not amazing. It was a bit overcooked and lacking in flavor. Our entrees also took a good 45 minutes to arrive, but there were some large parties that were in the dining room. I think overall it was a bit overpriced but satisfying. First time diners: Be aware that the tables are truly close together (you will feel like you are on top of each other) and it is rather loud inside, but we knew that from previous experience, and the food is worth it.

and the whiskey cake was a great way to finish off the meal. • Awesome happy hour with craft beer, plan to go back. • Their fettuccine with clams is THE BEST pasta ever.
