"That's one of the things that I like about him -- because he's been consistent since he changed his mind." -- Christine O'Donnell, quoted by Politico, on her endorsement of Mitt Romney.

David Frum: "When I entered Republican politics during an earlier period of malaise, in the late seventies and early eighties, the movement got most of the big questions -- crime, inflation, the Cold War -- right. This time, the party is getting the big questions disastrously wrong." "In the aftershock of 2008, large numbers of Americans feel exploited and abused. Rather than workable solutions, my party is offering low taxes for the currently ri...

I'm a licensed minister with the UCC, and I saw that you have a degree in theology and live in Stillwater.  We should talk sometime.  My cell phone # is 405-332-1050.  Give me a call some time.  I graduated from Phillips Theological Seminary in Tulsa with my M.Div. in May of 2011.

Joe Klein says news of Newt Gingrich's ties to Freddie Mac threaten to halt his recent recent rise in the polls. "You must understand: to Republican stalwarts, a relationship with Freddie Mac is the moral equivalent of satanism. Gingrich was a paid helper -- and, believe me, he didn't get paid $1.6 million to lecture the organization on the failures of government intervention in the market -- in a 'socialist' effort to make home-buying easier fo...

Commentators Elizabeth Nelson and Timothy Bracy take you on a track-by-track journey through 1984's soundtrack to This Is Spinal Tap — which is, they say, the very apex of rock and roll.

Oh that's a real classic- watched some of it last night. It's just nice to see some metal out there- after the Headbangers Ball went down, there was a real dearth of heavy metal programming!

Actually, the targeted, completely made up .... and excused for weeks by liberal pundits on the sham basis that "if the letters had actually existed they would have said what we made up." A conspiracy of a national level prompted and supported by arrogance and hate. Wonderful, actually. We could add, I suppose, the "everybody does it" defense, or maybe the "let's make a movie about killing Bush" idea, or almost hourly "he's stupid" opinions coming from liberals of all stripes - of course with no substantive support.

Greg Sargent, in one sentence: "Democrats wanted the rich to pay more in taxes towards deficit reduction, and Republicans wanted the rich to pay less in taxes towards deficit reduction."
