What a lot of people don't know about the "new" downtown Los Angeles, is that it's literally running over the poor and the outcasts that have been here, lying on the sidewalks for at least the last twenty years.  They have not gone away, and despite all the blather from City Hall, there is no solution in sight.

Who's who, and where and when did they meet? What did they talk about?  Sessions has already bailed ...

Okay, I forgot to post the Rad Automobile Saturday Night story, but lucky for you guys, my Media Monkey program coughed up the best car song for the week in question.

Once upon a time, I was driving a Camaro at high speed from Philadelphia to Chicago. It was foggy (hell, I was driving by the dots of the center line at eighty+ miles per hour ... dot dot dot) ... and then this song came on the WSL radio program, whining out of the South from somewhere ... I had to pull over (big screech sideways stop) and listen to it.

Charlie Pride sang "I can't believe that you've stopped loving me". (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Q4nH9Dr_jg)

Shit. My heart nearly stopped.

America. You have to live it. It's beautiful.

The historic 6th Street bridge is LA was condemned some time ago, and construction crews are even now in the process of destroying the old structure. In the meantime, tenants under the right of way have been bought out and bulldozed. (An on-going project.)

A little bit east of Los Angeles towards the Arizona border (about 250 miles, but whose counting?) there is a high desert, called Joshua Tree. The other week, I went there with some friends.
