It's good that these people are reusing other's waste. It's a good interim solution. But it's not sustainable in the long-term, because we cannot continue indefinitely with a system that uses more resources than the earth can produce.
Hawthorn #berries . This particular tree was particularly fruitful when I took this photograph in early November 2013. Easily accessible on public land in #WarndonVillages#WorcesterUK near to a small children's park.
I had a go at making hawthorn leather with these. It was a lot of hard work getting the stones out of each one. I mashed them up with a wooden spoon in a fine sieve and pressed the flesh with my hands through the sieve. Hard work! I then heated them up with a little water and sugar. Dehydrated them in a dehydrator for about 10 hours. Came out as hard as shoe leather. I think I should have added more water and made the pulp a little thinner in the dehydrator tray. It's good to learn these things, eh?
I totally support you in what you are saying here, Emily. With this kind of video it should be unacceptable for the focus to be on irrelevant issues such as the appearance or personal life of the presenter. Perhaps more should be done to make it less easy to post remarks anonymously.
