They made out they where covering the parking venue cost under the place even stamped a ticket , Then after I paid for the overpriced fish and chips $25 I was charged $7 more when I got outside to get my car. Kinda sucked Rustys surf ranch right down the way was way cheaper and food was better. And no I dont work for Rustys just know a good meal when I see one

We came to this place for a friend's birthday and knew the price range coming into it. The venue is set right on the Santa Monica pier, so if you wanted to, you could request a seat by the window overlooking the ocean. My friend and I decided to split the seafood platter, which had mussels, oysters, crab, and lobster. It was just the right amount of food for us, and we eat quite a bit. I think it ran us about $70. It's an elegant place to dine, but I would only come here for special occasions.

First place my father and I ate during a week stay in the LA area before Super Bowl Sunday. The crab cake, which I never liked before (dad shared the appetizer), was one of the best seafood dishes I have ever eaten. The regular dishes were wonderful as well. It's a little overpriced and you pay a bit fore the location and atmosphere, but the food is still incredible.

This restaurant is classic. It's located right on the Santa Monica shoreline so there are beautiful views. I went here for dinner and service was excellent. I ordered the lobster bisque and it was delicious; creamy and flavorful. They only had three pound lobsters left so we had to order it; grilled as recommended by our waiter. It was huge and very filling. Overall, good food and high prices to match!

The steamed lobster was good however paying $34 per pound made no sense as this lobster was no different than say Red Lobster. My date ordered the scallops which are better at fill in the blank Hibachi steakhouses. Yes it was a nice atmosphere and yes we were able to see the sunset but we visited laguna and even the sunset at malibu which were both very nice and no where near as overpriced as The Lobster. In fact the surf and turf and my rockfish and cocktails came to half of what the lobster was. This place isn't terrible i just prefer to get more for my money. Also there were open tables along the window but the host wouldnt sit us there after i asked. Even offered to give him $20!

we were walking from restaurant to restaurant today, looking for a restaurant that had clam chowder, because I'm a tourist and that's what I wanted. not only did the Lobster have it, they fit our group of three into the best table there without any type of wait. I got some delicious chowder, everyone else had yummy food (the lemon pasta was so good!) and Scott took care of us beautifully!

Waited to experience "Lobster for my 43rd bday last year." It was definitely worth the wait because the atmosphere was solid, booked, and busy. The environment was warm and inviting along with the most excellent taught staff to create ambiance as well as pristine service! I had the best private, intimate dinner even amongst a full house that was hosted with the best service to make that bday memorable.
