I haven't posted here in forever, but I've been tossing this out for discussion elsewhere, and I have a larger follower base then in other venues, so…

I've been chatting with various folks about putting together discussion software tries to encourage reflective listening (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reflective_listening).  The mechanics of reflection can be enforced at the very least, and as it's a written medium, instruction on how to do it could be provided as a part of the software.

Hmm, the G+ UI.... gains nothing even on my 13" MacBook Pro from making the navigation be a pop-up with crappy hysteresis.  I can still expand both hangouts and navigation and the stupid little column in the middle of the screen still has all sorts of whitespace around it.

I don't approve of everything Google's been up to lately UI-wise, but I do approve of the new URL bar in the Chrome canary builds.

Aesthetically I do like the bigger font, although I fear that from an accessibility point of view it may be less readable-- I'd want to hear feedback from dyslexics, for instance.

I also rather like that search results from the bar no longer include a search box in the google results.  Instead, the bar maintains the search term, turning into the Google search box.

I can never refresh my Google Plus window or I'll get their useless new interface!

Some lovely retakes of the awful recent Time cover.  Also I'm reminded I need to get some jeans in that shade...

I've been playing with http://fargo.io/ lately– it's a nice simple HTML 5 outliner from Dive Winer and co, that uses Dropbox for all of its storage.  Well executed and gets the job done.
