I've known about these units but hadn't really made use of them until today. They eliminate most of my element sizing issues in one go, especially doing full height.

The post says it's complicated, but it's not that bad and would be worth doing if you are on a slow/congested network regularly and doing multiple image pushes. One liner that builds your go project by mapping your local GOPATH to the container's /gopath folder and executes the go build command within the container. The resulting binary is then built into its own docker image, this time without the need for golang and other dependencies.

Just some post on some blog but if it's true...

A unique and interesting look at a character I didn't give much thought before.

Just when I thought containers couldn't get any cooler...

Who are these people in the community that are acting this way and why? ...I just don't get it. What's the point? Is it just blind misogyny? Ugh, it's like gamergate crud is spilling into the OSS world and that'd be a loss for everyone.

Ubuntu 16 installation/migration complete! Several issues encountered in getting my environment back together.

1) Python3 is the default in 16 and while you can install Python 2.7 still, the supporting packages like "python-support" are no longer available in the official distro repositories.

2) Systemd replaces Upstart (technically since 15). No problem there (sorry SysVinit) but the docker daemon drop-in is shoddy and doesn't pass DOCKER_OPTS or any other typical /etc/default/docker settings.

3) Grub detected the wrong partition for my Windows installation and gave me a mini heart attack when it wouldn't boot back to Windows. Thankfully it was as easy as reinstalling Grub.

4) Couldn't get Cassandra installed because there was no resolution for the python-support(#1) package. Thankfully there was docker image out there, ready to go. A better way to go about it anyways since it's only for development.

I don't know why they would publish the exchange, Kik looks worse now than they did before. The second they were turned down, they started brandishing their lawyers and harassed npmjs until they gave in. I'm not usually a schadenfreude person, but I couldn't help but laugh when I read that their builds were broken by the developer pulling out of npmjs
