I LOVE TPUMPS!!! However, the line is freakin' ridiculous sometimes. I wouldn't wait over 30 mins just for boba, but hey, whatever floats your boat I guess. It's weird, they get crowds in waves. Customizable flavors (you can combine up to 3 and there are so many flavors - something for everyone!), customizable sweetness. The tea is brewed and it makes ALL the difference in flavor. Super refreshing, goes down smooth and bursting with flavor. The boba is also sweetened and always perfectly cooked.

It's good tea but the line is very long. If you've been to the one in San Mateo it's the same idea, but on Irving street. It's a way to kill some time with friends, not so good if you're just trying to grab and go, try the Teaway Express for that (and cheaper). Flavors are excellent, haven't hit a powdery or unpleasant one yet. Try combining things. I like strawberry passionfruit green, or mango lychee black tea.

Tpumps is a new boba place in the city, located in the heart of Asian snack central along Irving street among the other boba places in the area. They're known for their flavored milk teas and fruit teas, which you can actually infuse flavors in, which is a bit on the innovative side of things in terms of boba drinks. The lines can be ridiculous here though, which is my main problem with the place itself. Drinks are very refreshing (and often too sweet so I usually go for the less sweet versions) but for a 45 minute wait I'm not sure if I am down for that...if you're ever in the area, give it a try, but be forewarned for the line...

So I'm not really into boba drinks but my fiancé is and always wants to go here. I have to say that the fresh brewed tea makes this taste good, and you can personalize your drink with sweetness, flavor, and types of tea. One of the biggest problems is the wait. I'm not going to wait 45 minutes for one of these, and the line is always super long.

I think what makes this place special is the fact that you can customize and mix flavors anyway you want. Besides that, I think it isn't worth the wait. When I went, it took about 1 hour for the entire process. What surprised me was that they use Torani syrups to flavor the teas and CoffeeMate creamer for the "milk" in the milk tea. The boba was really soft. So soft that they all stuck together. Overall, it wasn't bad but an hour wait isn't worth it.

One of the best tapicoa places in San Francisco, yet it is a bit overrated. The idea of a variety of flavor mixing and different toppings makes Tpumps different from other tapioca places. The passion strawberry mango black milk tea is one of my favorites, yet for any costumer, there can be an unlimited amount of combonations that can create a favorite drink.

The place could really use some tables, but there are also a lot of people waiting, so the extra standing room is probably more useful. I love that you can mix 2 flavors of tea and add a few different kinds of solids besides the regular boba. We got the taro and red bean milk tea with taro pieces, and that was excellent and didn't taste at all artificial. We also got a passion-lychee tea without milk and with regular boba. I think I have definitely found my new favorite way to drink boba!
