Great food and great service on my birthday. We ordered one bottle of wine that was corked and, though we were unsure, the waiter took one smell and took it back to get a replacement, as a professional should. He then recommended another bottle that was fantastic. They're under new management now. I'd recommend Braise to anyone looking for a great meal.

This is the type of food that New Yorkers love. It's well made, in a comfortable atmosphere, and completely overpriced. My girlfriend and I ordered the ceviche and each got two small bites of soupy fish and few sprigs of celantro for $14. This was, by far, the most expensive ceviche I've ever eaten, and no where near the best. I've never had my ceviche swimming in the marinade sauce, which was probably supposed to fill-out the dish and make it look larger. It was really pathetic. If you want to get some great food for a good price, this is a poor choice.

Great coffee. These are real espresso drinks made the correct way. By this I mean it is not in any way akin to Starbucks are most other places that serve espresso. If you actually drink coffee, as opposed to treating it like a drug, guzzling it to "stay awake," then you will love this place. Not to mention it's hip as hell and the servers are awesome.

The falafel plate is great; the chicken plate is well-spiced and you get a quarter chicken, salad, and plate of rice for $9.50. The fatoosh salad is great. Everything is fresh and delivered quickly. This is a great place.

Get the two person deal; it's amazing. Two full dinners and a bottle of wine ($32 or under) all for $50. Try to find a deal like that anywhere else, I dare you. Plus, the food is good, the servers are nice, and the atmosphere is relaxed. Go. Eat. Enjoy.

I'd recommend this place to anyone. They regularly have interesting coffees of various quality levels (including several at the Cup of Excellence level). The baristas KNOW how to make espresso drinks. They don't put hot milk in weak coffee. Their drip coffee uses the Clover system, which makes each cup when you order it, fresh. They also just got a bar and serve great local beers at the ridiculously low prices. Also, I've personally known a couple of their baristas and they've all be fun, outgoing, and interesting folks. This place rules. Here's the problem "Husty" was having: you come in, get in line, enjoy the music, relax in their atmosphere, spot a place to sit, wait in line some more, order your coffee, pay. Coffee shops aren't about speed, they're about quality of product. If you want speed there's a Starbucks on Guadalupe; go there and get yourself a flaccid cup of brown water.
