I am a survivor! If I told you my life story, you probably wouldn't believe that I had faced so many challenges but trust me...I did. I have multiple health issues that I am currently dealing with including severe fibromyalgia, a benign brain tumor & breast cancer. Ironically, none of my issues are life threatening at this time. So I take one day at a time and I never forget that each day could always be worse. As a matter of fact, I have had it worse in the past. I'm also a survivor of domestic abuse(oh the phrasing always sounds so very nice doesn't it).
Every single day is a gift. No matter what you are going through right now, take a look around and find at least one positive thing in your life today. If that's what you need to hold onto to get through the day, then do it! Tomorrow is another chance. We all make mistakes in life, there is no handbook and you don't get graded. I firmly believe in the power of kindness & compassion. If every single person went out of their way to be kind, compassionate, understanding and/or offered a helping hand to at least one person a day, whether it be a stranger, a friend or a family member, you are making the world a better place.
When I was younger, I believed that I could change the world. I had BIG dreams. As time went on, it became obvious that I was thinking too large. If I could just treat people that I know in kindness, I could change the people that surround me's world & my own! If everyone did that(or at least mostly everyone because some people just never will), we can all change OUR world's at least. It's not that hard. You just have to be kind.
