A couple of years ago I totally crashed HARD! It was so bad, my husband and mother-in-law were afraid I would die... and I don't exaggerate!

I was very nervous and anxious about myself and my future (that's a whole other story) and I started to take on extra activities that I thought would solve my feelings of insecurity.

Well, I was about to learn a HUGE lesson!

Just a week into beginning my new venture, I became VERY ILL!

I had a fever that would bounce between 102, 103 and even 104 degrees. I had massive body aches and neck ache. I was in bed for over a week solid - not the kind where you rest in bed and watch movies... No, I was out cold! I would wake up when my super-hubby would gently but firmly get me to drink water, consume a slice of peach, or choke down a couple of supplements and remedies. Then, I would go back to darkness. From the outside, it looked like I was sleeping, but I have no recollection of the whole thing other than those few ache-filled awake times, and then the blackness of what I'll call "sleep".

There's a lot more to the story, but I'll sum up my 20/20 hindsight conclusion here... I had run myself ragged emotionally and physically. THIS is when I started to learn about the adrenal system and using herbs to support the body for energy - not just keep pushing it (ex. with caffeine).

I used to be scared and intimidated to use herbs, but something inside me always said - "It's ok, just learn how to use them - you'll be glad you did." I sure am! They have eased and supported me through many tough physical, mental and emotional (yes, I really mean this!) situations. When Rosalee says we have an "herb deficit" I believe it. So many of our bodies, minds and emotional bodies are yearning to reconnect physically and energetically with plants. This is not just poetic language...
