Last week was a big one for nonprofits, with the Komen igniting controversy with it's decision to stop grants for breast cancer screening to Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood using the loss to leverage public sympathy to generate more than three times their funding loss with Komen in a matter of hours. And then there was Lance Armstrong , who was finally (?) released from judicial scrutiny over the dosing accusations that have haunted him and Livestrong for years.

It's hard not to take all of that in and not feel a need to reinforce our moral and ethical commitment to causes, independent of the politics of partnerships or celebrity.

I thank CNN and Samantha King for this good article on the Komen fiasco: ...and remind myself this is an important lesson.
