Yes ours was quiet.  David down till Monday.  At Lesa's today. But thankfully it's quiet now they've grown  up. Can't believe Kaine is 17 in April! !
Feel quite ancient at times 😀
Take care
Love Val

So sweet!  :)

"Park ranger Andre Bauma has been taking care of orphaned mountain gorillas at Virunga, Africa's oldest national park, for the past seven years, and he says he loves them as if they were his own children.

One gorilla, Ndakasi, is particularly close to Bauma. She sees him as her mother, and despite being a man - and a human to boot - he has taken on that role. "We shared the same bed, I played with her, I fed her… I can say I am her mother," he says."
When poachers at Virunga national park in DR Congo kill mother gorillas, the task of adopting the babies falls to Andre Bauma.

Bats were "jammed" the moment they were about to home in on their insect prey, making them miss their target.

The rival that emitted the call was then able to capture and eat the insect for itself.
A species of bat has been observed for the first time interfering with the sound signals of competitors to "steal" food.

Not sure about this,  could be a bit scary!

Tourists can test their head for heights by venturing on to the structure which soars 42m (138ft) above the Thames."

Introduction
Love animals,  get on better with them than I do some humans.
I used to have 9 pet ferrets,  a lot of work but great fun!

Folk music,  vintage and classic cars and my computer are among my interests.
I also was a member of the English Civil War Society and the Sealed Knot and had great fun taking part in the re-enactments which raised money for charity. .
