Atmosphere is the only reason I'm giving them 2 stars. Everything else is terrible-- especially the staff. I'm on business from out of town. I came here because it was close and had "good reviews". I'm assuming their friends wrote any review above 3 stars. They are cash only with an atm on site. This would be fine if the atm worked but it was "out of order when I visited. The cook wouldn't take my order for a $7 hamburger without me paying first. If you're looking for a cool dive bar, look elsewhere.

Don't come here expecting great food! The chefs have changed and now all they offer is standard burgers and nothing else. We wasted almost 2 hours of our San Fran on a round trip travelling to and from here - apparently we're not the only ones who have turned up expecting lobster mac n cheese so why the management haven't changed the name to stop misleading people, I have no idea.

It's cash only which can be difficult but it was fine if you plan ahead. Small place. Bar when you walk in and the food is in the back dining room. There's space to eat outside. Went on a Friday night and was really crowded and a bit of a wait. People start to form lines at tables in order to sit down to eat. The good food goes fast. The goat cheese mac n' cheese sounded good but was sold out

I wish we'd found this place earlier on our SF trip instead of wasting our time in the Mission District! Great atmosphere, cheap drinks, friendly staff. A must visit!

Bring Cash and order the right stuff. That's my best suggestion. So for starters, this place is a dive sports bar straight up (loud, obnoxious, pool, and sports). They have a massive selection of whiskey (and bourbon and rye) so lovers of these spirits will feel right at home. The bartender we had was super friendly and was explaining the drinks as he was making them. As far as the food, it seems there menu changes periodically (based on the food items I'm seeing in these other reviews) but the staples seem to remain the same. First, the infamous Mac N Cheese (crawfish for us): don't bother. It's not flavorful and was just pretty generic with hardly any crawfish. The burger: Awesome juicy, meaty, cooked to perfection but needed more salt and pepper on the meat. Brussel sprouts with onions and blue cheese: Bomb. Who'da thought that brussel sprouts mixed with blue cheese would be delicious. Fries: Just well cooked and seasoned standard fries. I liked them. Buffalo wings: They are meaty and substantial and the buffalo sauce goes great with their delicious house-made ranch. Overall, mostly good food, fairly reasonable prices (priced up a bit to be "hip"), alright atmosphere/crowd, and some good whiskey and friendly bartenders.

Bring cash come here early, scope out a place by the bar, wait for the kitchen window to open. Yes you actually do that in that order. HA. We got here early so the place only had a few customers. My friend and I grabbed a seat at the bar and was deciding what to order. The bartender was friendly and chit chatting with us on various drinks, telling us what his special drink was. Finished our drinks, got another round, still waiting for the kitchen to order, the line was starting to form so we decided to check out the menu before it got too crowded and had our space saved at the bar. I got in line to order while my friend went back and made sure we didn't loose our spot. Who the heck servers lobster mac! This place does and it is good. We got their fries also good but not as crisp as I like them. Cold asparagus! So good. We need to go back soon.
